Myrna said sadly. "The fairy book? Isn't that the one I read this morning?" Lilly asked excitedly. Unfortunately, Myrna shook her head sadly. "No Luna. What you are reading is a book about Myth Heaven and all its inhabitants. But what I mean is The Books of Fairies, The Spirit of Elden Wood. The book contains information about fairies who live in the Elden Wood forest. Complete information but also bring disaster." She said sadly. Everyone there fell silent. They understood what Myrna meant. Some take advantage of the information there.

Although nothing was said about how that happened except they had been at loggerheads with vampires, demon spawns. “Do you think all this is true?” I finally asked El, unable to keep up with the book. I dropped it on the table, making a mental note to return all the books to the shelf before leaving. “I think so,” El replied softly, as if she was dreading something, or remembering something. Whichever it was, I had a feeling she wouldn’t be letting me in on the treasure, at least not yet. Feeling bored all of a sudden, but not in the mood to check out any more fantastical books, I got to my feet and decided to look around the library... maybe scout for more books that I could read the next t

I flipped through the pages, my brow furrowing. Then, I stopped. A passage, highlighted with what looked like dried blood, caught my eye. It spoke of a prophecy, of a “Chosen One,” an elf destined to be mated to a powerful werewolf. Their union, the book claimed, would bring balance to the world, bridging the ancient divide between elves and werewolves. I read it again, slower this time, my heart pounding. “Lucas, have you seen this before?” I asked, pointing to the highlighted passage.

I breathed, tracing the delicate, cool veins etched into the stone of the fireplace. "All elves take deep pride in their craft," Cassius said quietly. "For us, time is not an enemy to be conquered, but a medium to be shaped." Our search yielded little more than beautifully bound books of elven histories and fables, none of which told the story of a mass vanishing. We continued on, the weight of the profound silence pressing in, until we stood before a pair of large doors leading back outside. I pushed one open, and the sudden rush of sunlight was a physical blow, forcing me to squint as the world resolved into focus.

As for Kuzan and Elfina, maybe the spirits like them so that’s why they could see them. The talk about pixies weren’t really depicted in the novel. That’s because, pixies aren’t really involved in anything related to the story. But to think the world building also includes pixies, huh? There’s more to the world of ‘The Villainess Is My Lover’ than what’s depicted.

The books were usually her best friend, taking her to faraway lands where she could find herself lost in beautiful views, peculiar characters and enchanted gardens. But today was different.

"What kind of novels do you like to read?" Elma hesitated, as if she wasn't sure how to respond. "I-I like fantasy novels," she said finally. "I love getting lost in different worlds and meeting new characters." Adelaide smiled, feeling a sense of connection to Elma. "I know exactly what you mean," she said. "I love getting lost in a good book too." As they talked, Adelaide could see Elma starting to relax, starting to open up. She was still shy and introverted, but Adelaide could sense a kindred spirit beneath the surface.

I couldn't even process the pain in Rowan's voice because my brain was spinning in absolute confusion. Elves? Elves actually exist in this world? I had spent weeks reading through the vast, ancient history books in the palace library, trying to learn everything about this realm. I had read about Lycans, wolves, witches, and ancient beasts. But there was not a single line, not a single word about elves in any of those books!

At the very least, she was relieved to escape the confined space of the kitchen. As Marcus worked at the sink, Vivienne wandered back into the front room where her curiosity got the better of her. She drifted over to the bookshelf in the corner of the room, her fingers tracing the spines of the array of worn paperbacks and hardcovers in a variety of colours and sizes. Expecting to find typical bodyguard or espionage novels, she was taken aback to discover a collection dominated by high fantasy titles and series. Lord of the Rings, The Way of Kings, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Witcher, there was even a collection of classic fairytales.
