Fantasy Christmas Books นิยาย & เรื่องราว

I always craved something more intense, something that would push me to my limits and beyond, leaving me broken and begging. That's what led me to this stupid idea on Christmas Eve. I was alone in my cramped apartment, the snow outside building up against the windows like a white prison wall. Bored out of my mind, I pulled out this ancient book I'd snagged from a shady thrift store downtown. It was all about old Alpine myths, and tucked away in the yellowed pages was a ritual for summoning Krampus… not the watered-down version from holiday movies, but the genuine article, the horned devil who dragged the wicked straight to hell for their sins.

Christmas was the reading of the book. This Christmas, Don's book was a novel—Norwegian, which was not a coincidence, a novel by the same writer whose essays were in the Norway reading programme. The novel was called The Dark Year, and it was about a man who spent a winter alone in a cabin in the far north of Norway, experiencing the full darkness for the first time. Don had been saving it since September, when he had finished the essays. He had placed it on the shelf above his desk, the designated holding place for the Christmas book, and had not opened it once.

Cassie stepped onto the crisp, white snow, letting out a deep breath. The golden winter sunset painted the snow-covered valley in soft colors, and the sound of distant sleigh bells was calm and peaceful. For the first time in years, she felt free. No work calls, no emails, no stress just her, the mountain air, and the chance to relax. The small village on the mountain was lively. Lights hung in the pines, music played softly, and the smell of roasted chestnuts filled the air. Cassie smiled, feeling like she had stepped into another world.

Elena said, looking up to see the winter fairy spirit in front of her. “Is that what you think? Do you know what you're about to do? That book you possess is called the book of shadows which contains spells and magic that could lead to ultimate chaos and destruction! You must be very careful Elena when you use such spells.” The winter fairy said gazing at her. “How come I am able to read and understand these words. I know I haven't seen this kind of writing.” Elena said, handing the book to the winter fairy spirit.

No big surprise. "Huh. There's actually a pretty big section. You need a book on spells for gardening? Or how about one titled Weather Magicks? There's even one for love charms and a volume on breaking hexes. Nothing about magical Christmas decorations so far." "Try looking under 'Holiday'," she suggested. "This has something to do with your family, remember." "Good thinking." He moved again and Shelby went back to searching the desk.

Yet another fantasy Prologue Legora, the largest capital city in the world. Once one of nine, now there are four. We had lost five cities in the great calamity. Creatures from god knows where poured in from a tear in the earth. A dimensional tear in space and time the men of science called it, but really who the fuck knows? All I know is they were bigger, stronger, looked nothing like us and they outnumbered us hundred to one.

There was Fenrik, his golden eyes blazing with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine, but also a weariness that hadn't been present moments ago. He stood beside someone I didn't recognize, a tall, cloaked figure whose face was obscured by shadow. I saw myself too, in various forms—sometimes wielding a sword with unexpected grace, sometimes cloaked in dark, flowing robes, a crown of thorns resting on my head. In one vision, I stood on a precipice overlooking a vast, shimmering city, flames licking at the horizon. In another, I held a small, glowing orb in my hands, its light pulsing in rhythm with my own accelerated heartbeat.
