Cyn asked while looking at the shimmering treasure of golds and magical items. “Leave it to me,” Sabrina said, then pointed the staff to the treasure and chanted, “Devour and stored!” purple magic came out from the staff and ate all the treasure. In just a minute, the room was empty and turned to dark. Sabrina’s staff lit up like a flashlight so they could see in the dark. Lucia and Cyn looked dumbfounded. “Woah, that’s the power of the staff?” they blurted out. Sabrina nodded.

A giant. Or rather, a man with human-like proportions but so tall that he reached fifteen meters. His long hair was entirely white, and his eyes were crystal blue. From the inside of his long white robe, he brought out a giant magic staff made from an entirely carved crystal. His steps on the ice echoed loudly like thunder through the area filled with heavy snowfall. “Sorry I punched you that hard, Dragon. But you must understand,” the man said with a rumbling voice, “That if I didn’t do so, I’m afraid you would kill me.”

It was as simple and plain as that, but beautiful just the same. Tamner held it out to me and, reaching for it, I could feel a trace of magic in the wood. Nothing special, just the lingering spark of the Earth's essence from when it once was a living thing. The surface of the wood was smooth and cool to the touch. My mind immediately raced with all the spells and magic that the staff could have helped me with, before remembering that it was no longer an option. I clamped down on the rush of sadness and pushed it away. There would be time to feel it later. Now, I needed to stand.

Now, I want you to reach out, palm up, and hold the staff between us. Keep your eyes closed.” Caitlin reached out slowly with her hand, and grabbed hold of the staff. It was an ancient, worn, smooth wood, and she could feel the energy coming off it as she grasped it.
