My Alpha, My Bodyguard

My Alpha, My Bodyguard

At the very least, she was relieved to escape the confined space of the kitchen. As Marcus worked at the sink, Vivienne wandered back into the front room where her curiosity got the better of her. She drifted over to the bookshelf in the corner of the room, her fingers tracing the spines of the array of worn paperbacks and hardcovers in a variety of colours and sizes. Expecting to find typical bodyguard or espionage novels, she was taken aback to discover a collection dominated by high fantasy titles and series. Lord of the Rings, The Way of Kings, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Witcher, there was even a collection of classic fairytales.

Book 1: Enchanter's Realm (The Cursed Demesne)

His red eyes deepened, indicating his desire to sort things out. "One of the book of history has gone missing last night. The Book of Creation. And then this morning, it is found on its shelf again. Not a piece was taken nor changed," Merko said. I had been to their library a couple of times and had seen that book. However, due to my very busy schedule, I could not read it since I have to prioritize knowing more about potions. "It is not allowed to take the books out of the bibliotheca. How come that it has gone missing? Who was patroling last night?" Yamiko asked.

The Surprise Of A Lifetime

The Surprise Of A Lifetime

The need to have something that belongs to her in my hands overpowering the need to wrap them around his throat. Bart tries a few more numbers while I study the novels stored carefully in the old bookcase. I recognize a lot of fantasy books, some historical novels and a lot of romance novels. My fingers caress the backs of the novels until one in particular speaks to me. 'Tears of Tess.' I caress the front of the paperback. The cover is simple with the middle half of a woman on the front and the title crossing it. I flip it over and read the blurb. My eyes skim over the text as a small smile plays across my lips when I finish reading.

Mister's Revenge

Mister's Revenge

He was most definitely going to need some help. 'But who?' He thought to himself as he sat at the desk and stared into nothingness, while he racked his brain for answers. That's when his eyes were drawn to a book that was tucked into the back of the stack of things that were piled there. It was a book about how to use your fairies and Fae folk. Mister's eyes lit up as he sat up in the chair and he fished the book out, quickly opening the cover and thumbing through the pages.

The Fantasy Maker

Emma said, walking deep into the living room. "Thanks." She walked to a set of shelves on the far side of the room, running her fingers over the spines of his books. A lot of them were classics, novels by Dickens, Voltaire, Dumas, Melville, and Hemingway. She smiled when her fingers ran over the spine of not one, but three copies of Mitchell's Gone with the Wind. There were modern novels, too, including Stephen King and Sidney Sheldon, but they didn't look as well read as some of the others.

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

“Yes, just like you, High Lord of the Mystics.” “So you’re saying these… these children’s tales,” Ryatt says with effort, his eyes narrowing with frustration as he waves down to the ancient books now littering the table, “aren’t tales at all?” “There’s always truth in fiction.” Ryatt’s nostrils flare in annoyance, but I step closer to the books, gently flipping a page. The text is in a language that predates Firestone. It’s looping scribbles–symbols I don’t recognize, and even Misty, who excels at this kind of thing, looks perplexed.

is someone stealing your books. I red a story almost identical to this a few weeks ago but I can't remember the name of it. The girl was running from a bad pack though and ran into the alpha who offered a proposal to her to be his breeder for protection. Everything else is identical

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Other Side of the Mirror (Book 1)

After repositioning myself back onto it, I spread the afghan over both of us. After thanking me, profusely, for the warmth, she cocked her head in mock thought. “Such a mystery. He doesn’t want us to rob a bank with him or something, does he? Tell me he’s not broke and this isn’t all a façade.” “If only he just wanted us to rob a bank,” I said in a whiny tone. “I could handle that a lot better, I think.” “Don’t leave me in suspense, Esmerelda,” she scolded. “You know how I hate it. That’s why I could never do what you do. I can’t stand mystery.”

His Sinful Desire

His Sinful Desire

She was bewildered by the big crystal chandeliers above the ceiling, as well as the big space that this room occupied. ‘Realm? Is this the same like the fantasy novel that I'd read before?’ She asked herself. Aside from being bullied when she was young, she was also obsessed with stories. Specially with fantasy genres. That’s why she became a novelist due to her passion. Although she was not familiar with his world, but she was somewhat comfortable as long as Diamond is with her. It was as if he would protect her at all cause. Well, hopefully. “What---How?!” She automatically ran towards a small table from the left side where a picture of a man and woman was being displayed.

seems like an interesting read. the opening chapters and prologue had tension and some good descriptive imagery. just be sure to proofread the narration to get rid of minor punctuation errors (mostly in parts with dialogue) and to improve sentence structures. overall, intriguing plot

The story seems interesting, but I noticed sentences in the past and in the present on the same paragraph. It was hard to concentrate in the story with those changes. Needs a few corrections with this, but overall, a nice read.

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Magic Box (Book 2)

“She’s only spooked by spooks. Ghosts, I mean. Transparent people who are astral projecting don’t bother her.” He nodded and stood up. “What about your society?” I asked in a soft voice. “You said that you don’t believe in teleporting? Never?” Just then, I saw his shine. It was crazy the way it just suddenly appeared. Startled, I gasped. “What’s wrong?” he asked. “Nothing,” I said. “It’s just. You aren’t really searching for Lance Northrup. Are you?” He shook his head. “No. I have an idea where he is and so the case was labeled cold.”
