Instead of being flat, like most walls, they had a three-dimensional mural crafted with clay. It looked as if one person did it, so I could only imagine that it had taken them a long time to complete. Each inch of the mural was exquisite. On closer inspection, I felt like I was walking through the forbidden woods. Even the paintings fit perfectly within the wall art. The paintings were also of the forbidden woods, except they captured the different animals that frequented the forest. I have only been to the forbidden woods once in my life, and it was when I was younger. I had only been five then, but I felt a deep connection.

The walls were covered in drawings and inscriptions… massive murals that told stories through images and symbols. Callie moved closer to the walls, her eyes wide as she began to study the drawings. They depicted lycans, creatures that looked exactly like what she and Damon had just been, performing rituals to the moon goddess. She could see them standing in circles, their heads raised to the sky, their bodies glowing with power. Another section showed lycans fighting in wars, defending other wolves and packs from destruction. They fought alongside four other figures, the four chosen wolves, each one distinct and powerful in their own way.

I had to say that the final product was better than any of us expected. Bellamy’s walls were designed with a forest mural on each wall. Papa helped with that one. It was nifty what all manipulation magic could be used for. The mural looked like it was truly part of the forest with the trees, animals, and sunlight filtering through. The ceiling was a mural of the night sky. That way he would have something to focus on as he looked up. One part of it was even the aurora borealis. It was perfect. Rachel wanted the rest of the suite’s walls to be plain light blue that way she could do her own painting on it. I could not wait to see what it would look like when she was done with it.

After the confirmation, she walked past it to inspect the wall behind. There was a drawing of a huge dragon with various unrecognisable creatures below it. Besides the familiar creatures that existed in legends, myths, and folktales, there were others that looked like random chimeras. Although they each looked mutated, they looked equally huge and majestic. She followed the wall and found even more paintings. The next painting was of the same dragon fighting the same phoenix, while all the other creatures watched on.

Based on our bedroom and bathroom decor, I’d been worried about what kind of party these wolves would throw. At least ninety tables were draped in dark purple and gold tablecloths, with low bouquets of white and purple flowers as the centerpieces. The walls were draped with the same dark purple fabric with gold accents between the stained glass windows and doors to the terraces. Hanging from the ceiling were gold lights shaped like stars, and a large full moonlight was in the center. The whole room had a very fantasy world vibe, as if they were planning to host their Goddess herself rather than their new Alpha and Aleph.

Following Christos closer to the dais, they were able to see that there was a woman lying there. Christos walked past and right out a door on the other side. Lyle and Amaris hurried to follow him as he was walking at a quick pace. Through the other doorway there was another stone hall. This one had been made to feel a little more homey and less cold and damp by the addition of tapestries. These too depicted a story. Each was woven of fine silk and had beautiful colors and detail. They were of more modern tales of love, war, conquest, and the building of cities. All of them showing werewolf cities.

Inside I could see the beautiful lush deep purple rugs, and the fabrics, and amazing furniture some of which I have never seen the likes of anything before. Beautifully carved into wood, you could see the different dogs….or where they wolves perhaps….and mythical creatures, I see a person with wings..? A fairy? Dragons, and mermaids, all of these creatures, are mythical, they don’t exist.

*growling sound of a large beast* The frightening growl was heard even on top of the wall. The monster showed itself as it was trailing behind Cheng and Lianne. "...That's the ruler of the western part of the glades." The soldiers were shocked and frightened to see the large Wamilos in front of them. Without any reinforcement from the main forces, the guards had no choice but to shut the gate while Cheng and Lianne were still outside. "Get inside! You and you get inside, we're closing it!" The same warrior is on the throne, with a very large man beside her, both holding hands. But the figures behind them seemed carved from darkness—demons and strigoi, shadows and bone crows, so powerful—their black crowns with red rubies, the throne of skulls. I paused, staring at the mural. Somehow, every time I saw it, I felt a chill, a sense that it was warning me or trying to tell me something about what was happening here. I wasn't sure why it mattered to me, but the images tugged at something hidden, like a memory I couldn't quite recall.
