I didn’t want to ruin the mood, but I knew he was withholding information from me. “Once we mark each other, there is no possibility for a second-chance mate.” As if reading the confusion on my face he continued. “If your mate dies before you mark them, the Moon Goddess grants you a second-chance mate. But if you mark your mate, then you are committed to them and only them.” He brushes a hair out of my face, but I push him back, sitting up. “Do you think that's a good idea though? Maybe we should see if I even make it through the full moon.”

Tears clouds his eyes. Oh my god, what was Kate doing to this man? Damon was not the first man who had walked up to me to help him with this kind of favors. There was Gabriel from the neighboring pack, Jeremy who was a seer, a rare power blessed by the moon goddess. There are so many of them and the lines go up, Kate was a beautiful woman. It was hard not to look at her when she walked past you, but I hate it when these men act like this because I know that Kate is only going to break their hearts.

Reina smiled and answers before Aubrey, “It will be on eighteenth and remember to carry gifts she will be turning eighteen on that day.” ‘Shiet!’ Beta Dagon cursed. ‘The same date with new moon festival.’ Alpha Angelo turned to Beta Dagon, they understood each other with just one glance.

“That's all you.” Ema watched them fondly before clearing her throat dramatically. “As adorable as this family moment is…” She pulled out a notepad from her handbag. “I've come prepared.” Alan blinked. “You brought a notepad?” “Of course.” Ema grinned proudly..“One page for girl names, one page for boy names.” Alan looked at the sleeping baby in his arms..“…You know she's already a girl, right?” Ema stared at him and a beat of silence passed and then Hazel burst into laughter.

While we could never predict the outcome with absolute certainty, it was about the intention. The three Nabellos had solidified their bond with their mates, and their roses were all blue. Apparently, there were five rose colors denoting how powerful fate deemed someone. Black was the most common while gold was the rarest. Blue was the most powerful underneath gold. It made sense because of how powerful Nabellos were naturally. The marks on the vampire’s necks were very interesting. They were abstract overlays and were beautiful. Although, I was still biased with the mark on my girl’s neck. She was my blue flaming phoenix and definitely made of fucking fire.

You’d think more people would be hesitant to find their fated mates, considering what happened to the previous generation, but I guess the possibility of eternal love and happiness clouds peoples’ rationality. The last two months, Vinny’s pack, The Forza Nelle Tenebre, aka Forza Pack, and Dare’s pack, The Running River Pack, have taken turns hosting full moon runs. A bunch of my pack members have traveled to these events and about fifty of them found their fated mates within the other packs. Small fuckin’ world, right?
