The foyer might be small, but it’s attractive. The moment I notice Fate cringing, I hear the soft tones of a woman’s voice singing. It’s beautiful, filling the air with the sweetest notes. Wincing, fate steps up the stairs, disappearing for a moment. Moments later, the sound is cut abruptly short and Fate appears back down the stairs again. “Lonely,” Fate mutters as he reaches my level. I frown. “What?” “Time, he gets lonely, believe it or not.
