Everyone trembled in fear as Clyde, or rather, the embodiment of a vengeful demon, stood before us. His eyes burned with a fiery red glow, and a malevolent smile twisted his face, revealing the depths of his thirst for revenge. The air crackled with tension, thick with an impending sense of danger.

“I’m sorry I said anything. Truth is, I’m not sure how to act around you at all.” “Because I’m a demon?” People are all the same. “Yes,” she gives me a pained smile. “I’m terrified of demons because it was a demon that...” her eyebrows knit together, and I can feel her hesitation to tell me. ~Serena~ My eyes slanted, and I almost lost sight of Spade. “You know a way to get a demon out of my mind?” Spade leaned forward, parking his elbows on the table. The morning light hit his face, and for a second, I saw something in his eyes that I hadn’t seen before—fear. He blinked it away like blowing out a candlelight. He had red pupils with vertical irises like a cat’s. “What is he?” I leaned in and whispered to Xavier. He merely glanced at the boy and then looked away. “He’s a demon. I wouldn’t keep staring if I were you. He’s a dream demon. You don’t want him latching onto you. They plague humans in their dreams, feeding off their fears.” I looked away instantly, but I could still feel those red eyes on me. “Everyone in here is supernatural?”

Every noble gave way for him to walk through. Roman moved through the crowd effortlessly. Lysan's hand tightened on the glass. He had seen that smile a thousand times, in battle fields, in his nightmares, everywhere. But here, no one knew what that smile hid. Dyleon whispered softly to Lysan. “Wow, so that's the famous Demon prince, Roman Da'Luca.” “Yeah.” “They say he's gonna be the next Demon king.” Dyleon's eyes trailed Roman. “But, mere looking at him, he doesn't seem like someone who could cause terror.”

He wanted to turn and look at Andy, but he couldn't pry his eyes away from the real threat… the demon. The demon was slowly making its way towards us, leaving a fire trail beneath his feet. His body was like hardened lava, black with cracks of red and radiating heat that could be felt many feet away. My heart raced with worry as my palms became sweaty with anxiety. I wasn’t sure what the demon would do, but I knew it was not good. He will end us all without a thought, only leaving whatever or whoever he wants to take. I say as I bare my teeth at her when she holds her hands up screaming stop. “Please Goddess of Hell, I don’t know what I have done. Please tell me.” she moves to her knees and prostrates on the floor at my feet. “Who do you fear more than me and my father?” She looks up, the colour drains from her face and I chuckle as I bite down on her arm and drag her further into the room as she screams. I stalk around her. The demon leans against the wall, his arms folded over his chest, with a smile on his face as he watches this.
