Their Wife

The very thought of the unknown, the potential consequences looming before me, sent shivers down my spine. As I contemplated my fears, an unsettling concern gripped my mind: "Would they kill me?" The gravity of this terrifying possibility sent my thoughts spiralling into a whirlwind of apprehension. Fearless

Fearless

Hazel's anxious face became redder, then she rolled her cute eyes and she turned her head into the window. The awkward atmosphere grew intensely, as Jae started teasing her. Then suddenly the company's guard knocked on the door. "Boss, Someone's here from the City Bank, he said that he is the director of the bank and came here to apologize to you!" My Husband's Double Life

My Husband's Double Life

Emma’s breath slowed. Of course. Fear reflected origin. But fear also reflected experience. The unknown awareness had learned to fear indistinction for a reason. Not abstractly. Not theoretically. Through something that had happened. The architecture tightened. Not with tension. With focus. The awareness spoke softly. Not denying. Not avoiding. Acknowledging. “You are correct.” Silence. The field grew impossibly attentive. Because for the first time— the unknown awareness was preparing to reveal not what it was. Not what it feared.

His Unwanted Heir

His Unwanted Heir

It was Damien’s workspace when he was deep in Verdant logistics, but they shared it now—the territorial boundaries of their lives having long since dissolved. She opened her laptop. The blank document stared back, the cursor blinking with rhythmic, demanding persistence. That fear is your first page. Start there. She leaned back, letting her mind sit with the weight of her terror. It was the absolute permanence of it. She was terrified of this book existing in the world without her there to curate the reaction. She was terrified of strangers reading about the pharmacy floor in three hundred pages of agonizing detail rather than a polished, twenty-two-minute keynote.

Voodoo Queens of New Orleans

I begged for it. Death was a better fate than the unknown one that lied ahead. What scared me most about this unknown fate was that in the depths of it, I knew that there was a possibility that I would never be found by the ones who cared for me. END OF BOOK I

Fated to my sister's husband.

Fated to my sister's husband.

I didn't dare touch or open it, because for a very short moment I feared what would await me, the knowledge I'd uncover in those pages. I feared what I would learn, and what it would mean - to me, what it would mean for us all. And that was strange because if there was anything I never feared, it was knowledge, learning new things. But somehow I could tell that this would be way bigger than me. With a shake of my head, I took my laptop and placed it on the table pushing the book to the other edge of the table - as far away from me as I could. ༺༺♡♡༻༻

Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

I tense knowing I’ve said the wrong thing. “You know that nervousness is a waste of energy. Nervousness, fear, anxiety- these all weaken us. These emotions make us doubt ourselves. There’s no room for doubt right now. Are you uncertain that you will win tomorrow?” He asks me. His voice is calm; he’s always calm. He never wavers. Even when he is enraged, he is composed. That’s what makes him so easy to fear. He’s consistent, yet unreadable. In the twelve years that I’ve known him, I’ve learned his mannerisms and his preferences, but I never assume I truly know him. And everyone that I’ve brought in over the years, I make sure they know that too. He hates arrogance but demands confidence. He w

Serpentine Desires

Serpentine Desires

My eyes moved shakily to the book in his hands and I took in the title. Conquer fear. We become the darkness others fear. His words from earlier rang in my head. And I took the book from his hands. My hands trembling, my lips parched and sweat trickling down my spine. I flipped through the pages and my eyes almost popped out of the sockets when I read the quote written on the front page. You reek of fear. And I haven't tasted it in a very long time. Wasn't this what he said earlier? Confusion bubbled, anger simmered as I flipped the pages.
