Summer's POV She stared at the gruesome faces covered in blood, their mouths open wailing in agony. They moved towards her as she tried to back away. Behind them the devil himself smiled viciously enjoying the look of pure terror on her face. Try as she might she couldn't back any further as they closed in clawing at her while laughing. Waking with a jolt Summer attempted to catch her breath as her heart hammered in her chest. Her whole body shook from the overwhelming fear she was feeling from the same nightmare she had almost every night.

an enthusiastic voice cried. “That looks totally creepy” Mary whispered, visibly frightened. Creepy was obviously not the greatest word to describe it, thought Summer. The mill was gigantic, debris had fallen off in places, it seemed the whole structure would crumble and cave in at any movement. Summer couldn’t help notice how isolated and lonely it was, standing on its own; no human existence ever seemed traceable. It was a shock to see that time had stood still. It was even more of a shock to hear a voice scream. At first it didn’t register, but after a few seconds of staring at the others, Summer realized that the scream had not escaped from them, but from something else. Even worse

“Given the events of the past week, do you really think it’s a good idea to open your drive-in with a horror show?” Skoger smiled slightly and turned to look at the trees that surrounded the back of the house. Yellow ironwood leaves fluttered and whispered in the wind and he nodded as if he were agreeing with them. “You know, my aunt always said the people in this country had a passion for fear. I believe that is still true. Fear is the first and most pure of man’s experiences. It nourishes us in a way. We come to crave it.
