If I were in his place, I would laugh even louder, so kudos to him for playing the role. Yet, a moment later, I take his words as a wonderful opportunity of playing the role of the innocent fool. “Hey! What is that supposed to mean?” I cross my arms in front of my chest and frown. Fenton raises his hands and turns around, now walking backwards, as he grins at me and shakes his head. “Nothing, absolutely nothing, my friend.” With those words, he turns around again and focuses on the path ahead. I huff and puff, pretending that his words hurt my ego. The funniest part is that this guy actually caught my bait and swallowed it whole. I’m not as dumb as he thinks I might be.

Fynn taunted. "Oh, we're victim blaming now? That's not a good look, Fynn. Have you considered that maybe I've got some sort of Stockholm Syndrome, and you've just tricked me into staying with you? I've always been told that fae were tricky and manipulative," I ranted. "Stockholm Syndrome? Honestly, where do you come up with this stuff? You just make up these words and act like I should know what they mean. It's all nonsense, Sage," Fynn insisted.
