LOVING HER DUKE

LOVING HER DUKE

* * * Her shoes pounded lightly on the marbled floor as she made her way to the kitchen. The railing had been cleaned and as she slid her hand past it walking down the stairs, Beth appreciated the maids. They always did a fine job. The Christmas Ball was in two days, she needed to ensure all was perfect, and that the Ball would be a success. It would be her first Ball as Lady Carlisle. She did not wish to fail and set the wagging tongues loose.

INTENSE LOVE.

INTENSE LOVE.

She's so weird" beauty commented. She was the best dancer and indeed a beauty queen that's why she had the name"beauty" she crossed her legs and made sure to stand on her toes just as instructed. "I hope this would be a fair judgement" Lilian added. She was behind beauty and part of her team. Anastasia kept falling when trying to stand on her feet. It has been a month now since after the announcement of who the lucky ballet dancer would be, to perform live with a superstar. No one wanted to miss this chance it would be a christmas ball to remember and everyone needed to put in their best to be selected.

I Raised a Ballerina Who Destroyed Me

I Raised a Ballerina Who Destroyed Me

A gentle breeze brushed past me, as if she were softly caressing my cheek. Standing up, I wiped my tears dry and walked out of the cemetery without looking back. Three months later, the graduation tour of Janswick Arts Academy finally took place. Daniel's dance company had welcomed a new principal dancer, a girl who had spent ten years quietly practicing in that same rehearsal room, never once complaining, even when the soles of her shoes wore through. She had no connections, no resources. All she had was a burning passion. I watched from the VIP section as she danced in a plain white dress, no rhinestones, no haute couture.

Alpha's sinful mate

Alpha's sinful mate

Some more than I wished, since Killian insisted on introducing me to them, almost dragging me to their table. Some seemed bothered by my mere presence, while some seemed to be delighted and even offered me some compliments. Few recognized me as Madelaine Malvak, the famous ballerina and even fewer were actually real fans of what I was doing. I could not deny that this made me a bit sad, but there was nothing I could do about it, just hope I would have the freedom and time to keep dancing.

The Great Black King

The Great Black King

It was a beautiful ball with cheerful decorations and lively music, it was a ball full of life, a ball that matched the graceful air and the vivacity of the saint. A dance made for her. Elaine had been so happy with that dance that she smiled even when Azrael made her train again and again so that she knew all the dance steps for whatever song they called her. She trained incessantly and as expected from a protagonist - learned in a few days what many nobles took lives to master.

Legally Charming

Legally Charming

he murmured in her ear. She looked at his reflection in the mirror. Her eyes wide, her lips parted as she sucked in a breath. He brushed the coils of her hair over her shoulder and out of the way as he zipped up the back of her dress. The thousands of tiny sequins on the dress reminded him of the luminescent scales of a mermaid's fins. With her auburn hair in long beautiful waves, Felicity could have been the tragic heroine in Hans Christian Andersen's tale. What was it about this woman that had him dwelling on fairy-tale fantasies?

After Prison I’m Done Playing Second

After Prison I’m Done Playing Second

"I heard he was crazy about his wife, Rosabella. Why marry someone else so fast?" "Where have you been? Reginald's been with the little sister for a while now." "In his heart, Felicia is the one who matters." I heard the whispers, my jaw tightening. Bullshit. "Darling," Felicia said, slipping her arm through mine. She was in a pure white gown. "What are you thinking about?" I grabbed her hand roughly and dragged her toward the stage. "Ow…" Felicia whined. "Reginald, you're hurting me."

Marrying the Alpha I Rejected

Marrying the Alpha I Rejected

"I heard you're a belly dancer." "And what's that got to do about anything?" "I'm a ballerina dancer," She said firmly, making sure her words would sink in and I froze. "I remember how much he loved watching me dance before. He loved watching me by himself. He loved it so much he would take me right there on the very stage I was dancing on." She whispered the last words to me and my heart skipped a beat, remembering the time he requested I dance for him and how he fūcked me after it.

The Baron's Cold Proposal

The Baron's Cold Proposal

he huskily replied, his dark eyes urgently seeking a response from her. At such an unusual action the ballroom everyone’s attention, that was not already watching them intently was glued on the couple with the gold dress. The deviant womaniser Baron Felix Fairfax had made an unheard-of appearance at a ball and appeared to be seducing a woman right in front of them. A thousand different questions swirled like snowfall around Athena’s mind as he gently nudged her back into dancing once more. Shaking her head she picked up the beat of the music again.

A wonderful story full of characters you love to love and ĺove to hate. I echo the sentiments around the ending but I'm relieved at the lack if true redemption arc (told you - characters you love to hate!)

Warning ends with a .... cliffhanger with no sequel. Great book overall by a talented author. I recommend it, and the cliffhanger doesn't ruin the book. It honestly do with a round of editing for character names being mixed up. This is one of the author's earlier books and is worth the read!

FELICITY.

FELICITY.

She kicked off her covers and got off. Tiny particles of black sand fell from her pajamas. Felicity looked at it and smiled. She now knew that the man on the rock was real. His touch was something she wanted to feel again. The warmth he let her feel as well as the comfort was something she really desired. It was still night. So she decided to head to the kitchen.
