Killian’s expression shifted instantly. “No,” he whispered. “Not that.” “What is it?” I asked quietly. Rowan answered before Killian could. “Shadowstone,” he murmured. “A fragment of the realm between.”

I would not stop. At last, the path narrowed, leading me to a gorge carved deep into the world’s bones. Storms clawed at the heavens above, lightning splitting the skies with thunderous fury. The bloodstone’s hum gets louder, and I see it—a map, carved in stone, hidden in the wolf room. It’s got lines, symbols, pointing to where the stone’s power lives. If Jerry finds it, he’ll know what to do.
