“There's signs of struggle. She must have suffered before death. Whoever did it is malicious.” Jarvis sauntered over to the little table beside the bed and picked up an empty glass. He brought it to his nose and sniffed. He immediately grimaced in disgust and walked back, extending the glass to Kaizen. “It's a monkhood and wolfbane.” Kaizen took the glass from him and sniffed under his nose and indeed it was a monkhood fixed with wolf-bane, the deadliest form of poison for a werewolf.

The fountain was painted in white, as well as the dragon, making the water appear as though it ripples with sparkles. Sighing, Kaylus sat on the bench that was under a lollipop-trimmed tree and started to soothe himself by watching and listening to the water flowing from the dragon's mouth. The statue seemed surreal, as if it stirs something in him. Something familiar, and yet, whatever it is, he can't point it out. Reaching out to his pocket, he grabbed the flaring ruby, ignoring the burning pain it caused on his right palm. He can't do magic here, it'll be dangerous for his family's reputation.

The souls of the poor girls that she murdered are captured in that bloodstone. Others say that if you break the stone, you will release all the souls, and they will take their revenge on Elizabeth or whoever the bloodstone owner is at that stage. I do not know if I believe that because I do not know what happened back then. It can be that a gypsy or a witch has captured the souls of the young woman in that bloodstone. I do not believe it can protect who owns it, but one never knows," Robin says.

Susan took to her feet, then she walked up to her bedside table and kept the book on the surface. She turned to Hannah, and arched a brow. “After you,” Susan said.

A perfect combination for you both. $300 for the set." "Seriously!" Hailey's mouth dropped.

He roared, ripping the man apart, but I saw the blood. “Roman!” “I’m fine!” he shouted, but his voice cracked. I spun toward the Bloodstone, slicing through the last cultist guarding it. The pendant burned hot against my chest, reacting to the shard’s glow. Without thinking, I slammed my palm against it. A blinding flash erupted. When the light faded, the cultists were gone—ashes scattered across the clearing. The Bloodstone lay cracked in two, its glow dying. Roman was on his knees, breathing hard, blood seeping through his shirt. I rushed to him, pressing my hand over the wound.

Something in the forest seemed to react to it, the shadows shifting, the wind whispering through the trees. Kael’s jaw tightened. “This is… against every law,” he muttered. “It cannot happen. It shouldn’t happen.” Rowan’s gaze remained on Aria, unwavering, calculating. “Yet it has,” he said quietly. “There’s no denying it. The bond is here.” Dante’s lips curved into a wicked smile, though his eyes burned with something deeper. “Looks like someone’s in trouble,” he murmured, circling her again, slow, deliberate, as if savoring the tension.

I say. "For what she expended." Maret chooses her words carefully. Sets them down like objects she is placing on a surface she isn't sure will hold them. "What she carries, what was revealed tonight, it isn't something we have a reference for. Not in living memory. The Moonblood hasn't manifested fully in generations." She pauses. "She used a significant portion of it in a very short time. The shift. The fight. And then what she did for you." She says that last part without inflection.
