"It's delicious! I mean, it's sweet, but not too sweet. Met my expectation!" "What did I say before? Apart from coffee, my boss is also an expert in cooking," the woman smiled happily at her reaction. "If you don't mind, may I ask what do you do?" "I'm working as a novelist," she replied after successfully swallowing her food in a quick move. "You know, writing stories. Most of them are young adults with the fantasy genre. But I'm trying to create a paranormal genre this year." "Oh," the woman nodded understandingly, glancing at her injured hand. "With that injured hand? Do you need my help? Maybe I can help you until you get better. What do you think?"

UNBREAK MY HEART

UNBREAK MY HEART

he spoke in the most cheerful voice he could mutter. Jeff’s voice boomed again. “I'm fine , man! Whatsup with you? Word on the street is that you're Hasting’s latest golden boy.” “Yeah,” the word felt bitter in his mouth. “Congratulations, man. Can't wait for your new book.” His face crumbled into a hard frown and with a bit of hesitation, he said, “Thanks, man…Hey Jeff, I was wondering if you'd know a couple of ghostwriters. Very good ones that follow strict NDA Contracts.”

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

It was a sanctuary for the long-form fiction she had always dreamed of completing under her terms. "You're at it again, " Julian said. He was leaning against the oak doorframe with two coffees in hand. Julian had traded the suffocating boardrooms of Vane Enterprises for a life that felt more grounded. He left behind the title of CEO for a role that required performance and no lies. "Is this the 200,000-word epic?" he asked.

Become a mother in one night

Become a mother in one night

The absurd thought that she might have somehow slipped into her own story filled her mind, leading her to question everything she thought she knew about her reality. In her own universe, Michelle was a ghostwriter, known for emulating other authors' styles. Gifted in the art of imitation, her ability to emulate any author's style earned her a reputation. Consequently, many online writers who found themselves at an impasse, but didn't wish to abandon their stories, sought her expertise.

The Devil's Daughter

The Devil's Daughter

Who knows waiting for an email from an organization, and hoping the said email would have attached to it, a job offer, can cause someone to reach such a stage of anxiety I never bargained for this unnecessary migraine. I am okay with the freelance writing thing I have going on on Upwork. Though the income is nothing compared to how much I love spending money, I am okay, because it isn't much of a brainer. All I do is be a ghostwriter for some author or help write school essays and get paid. And all these I do from the comfort of my home. But my mother doesn't trust that I can survive on such meager wages. She doesn't want me to resort to begging on the street if, after her death, Romeo decid

Teacher's Pet

Teacher's Pet

Tania asked me out of the blue. “A professional writer?” I was a writer, true, but a local one, which meant that my works were usually published in Imphal and sometimes in towns near the border of Montana. But being a professional would mean that my work would be known all over the world. “Of course, I’d want that. It’s what every writer dreams of, a universal appreciation.”

Very much enjoyed this story! Great dialogue, characters & storyline. Did not drag out with ridiculous plot twist or misogynistic action against the female lead. Plot was whimsical, but nicely done. No excessive, but stupid chapters. Kudos to a job well done! Thanks!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. It was compelling, the characters were well written, and I loved the FL (by the end). Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!! I’m going to read more by this author, for sure!!

Stealing My Best Friend's Alpha

Okay, cannibalism wasn't a thing in MoonBlade, but I didn't want to interrupt her, so I let her continue. "And oh, your journey with Alpha Kai. Damn, it was worth writing about." "And are you a writer?" "A fiction writer, yes. I used to write articles, but it doesn't pay nearly as much as writing novels. I have a mind that constantly wishes to escape, so yes, I write stories." "Does it help with your escape?" I asked. She nodded once. "It's like any external stimulation. It keeps you grounded for a while, but eventually you come back to face whatever you left behind."

“You quit your job?” “No, Nana,” he groaned. “Jesus, calm down.” She leaned forward. “Don’t tell me to calm down in my own kitchen.” He rolled his eyes. “Our kitchen but anyway I told my editor I’m working remote it's still the same deadlines, same job but it wil only be here.” She crossed her arms. “And what exactly are you going to do all day? Stare at boats and drink bad coffee?” He grinned like a child who knew he was about to impress her. “I’m opening a bookstore.”

Something In His Touch

Something In His Touch

Cora shrugged. "Me? There's no way I won't need money," I joked and we laughed. I did have a job, I am a writer, and I do all the kinds of writing there is; Ghost writing, content writing, script-writing, and I write personal books, two of which were adapted into live action. Not to brag, but I am a hot cake writer, kinda famous for my works, and works that people didn't even know I wrote; either way, it was bringing me money and hence the reason why Cora would think I didn't need money. Everyone needs money, Femi Otedola does, Jeff Bezos does, Dangote does, hell even Elon Musk still needed money, so who was I not to need money because I was earning a few thousands? Not me!
