His Forbidden Truth
A high-pitched whine fills the small space, building in intensity until I have to cover my ears.
"We're passing through," Catherine shouts over the noise. "Transitioning between dimensional planes."
"English, please!" Rodriguez yells back.
"We're leaving our reality!" Catherine's face is alight with terrible understanding. "The containment chamber doesn't exist in our world anymore—it's been isolated in a pocket dimension!"
The noise peaks, then cuts off abruptly. The elevator stops. Silence engulfs us, broken only by Truth's soft, rhythmic breathing.
"Is everyone okay?" Marcus asks, steadying himself against the wall.
