I continue to watch as his body then slowly disintegrated, leaving only his clothes. I hiss and turn as I feel a hand touch my shoulder. Finn removes his hand, raising it into the surrender position as he takes a step back. I pull my fangs back in and take a couple of deep breaths, getting myself back under control. I then look around the room until my eyes land back on Finn.

The cheer that followed shook the heavens. I leaned into Finn’s chest, his arms wrapping around me as if he still couldn’t believe I was truly his. “We made it,” he whispered into my hair. “Yes,” I replied, resting my head against his heart. “And this time, no one’s taking it from us.” THE END.
