Raiden's pov I let out a howl as we burst through the final line of the forest. The house was consumed by flames, black smoke rising to the sky and painting the night air with the stench of smoke and burnt flesh. There are a lot of the pack members surrounding the burning structure, mom and dad, Lester.....Damon. Everyone tries to help the firefighters who were part of the pack as well. But the flames seemed angry, relentless to eat the structure alive.

Knowing my father had backup, I leaped into the fray, trying to find my mate in the mayhem. An invisible thread guided me past duels on either side. I yanked a Red Fang wolf off of Zane, allowing him to dig his sword into the wolf before I veered toward the sidelines. Fire was everywhere, and it felt as if its only purpose was to burn. Both sides started to stop fighting to escape the fire, which blazed hotter and hotter as time passed. This wasn’t a controlled hit; it was a wildfire with its only intent to destroy and conquer.

I bellowed, "we have to move." The newly built village was ablaze, the fiery inferno lighting up the night like a macabre bonfire. We raced through the streets, my heart pounding in time with the roaring flames that consumed everything in their path. Her hair falls into her face. "That’s a lie. I saw them in the afternoon. By the next morning, I could see the fire on the horizon. The sky turned black and red. My father told me to stay inside. He said it was just a territorial dispute. He said it was none of our business." "But it stayed with you," I say. "The number of warriors stayed with me," Rhea says. "There were too many for a dispute. And the direction they came from was wrong. They didn't use the Ironblood road. They used the south path."

Soon the news spread all over the pack through the pack link. The warriors tried to stop the fire, but the fire turned out to be stubborn. Their efforts became vain and the entire house is burned down to ashes within half an hour. Ajax, Justin, Ronan, and Carter reached the accident site. Everyone is shocked by the sight that greeted them. Carter's eyes became hard with anger when he saw the house where he had so many memories with Nathan is now turned into ashes.

Townsfolk ran in the opposite direction to flee the violent invaders, as fast as they could.
