It seemed like my brain had reset as my shock was long gone and the only thought on my mind was how to grab the dollar notes in his hand. As if reading my thoughts – this man, whom I had now internally named my Samaritan handed the notes over to me, I didn't let his hand remain stretched out for a second less as I grabbed the notes and counted them. It amounted to 1,000 dollars. I grinned as I looked at the notes hungrily before I reluctantly handed the paintings over to the man. The man smiled as he spoke "Thank you, my name is Damien lot, what is your name?"

"No, but you will answer me anyway." Irritation flared up in her eyes. "He. is. just. a. friend." "It doesn't look like that. The way you danced with him when you knew I was in the same room!" he hissed at the memory. Goodness! Looks like Samar is stuck in the last century along with her dadu. "Get over yourself, Samar. I had no clue you were there. And even if I knew, why would I care?" she spat. Samar recoiled as if she had slapped him. Then, his light brown eyes turned dark at the iris, resembling a ring of vivid fire lit around a piece of coal. And the flames of anger licked at his heart. How could she be so... callous?

Silly as it may seem, even by hurrying around to the passenger side to open the truck door for me. Sam holds my hand, steadying me as I climb into the truck with the drowsing Julia, then closes the door firmly. I can’t help my eyes follow him around the front of the truck to the driver’s side. Running a farm is physical work, and Sam’s no slouch in other ways either. He’s part of the township’s volunteer fire department and as one of the few with trained carpentry skills, he’s been part of building many of the houses and stores here. I watch my brother for his reaction and all he asks is “She’s a fireman?” I pull a face and shake my head. “No, She’s an EMT, I sometimes work with her on the truck.” I tell him. He nods. Damon has probably seen her at the hospital and at the BBQ a month ago. “So, you not going to ask her out because she works with you?” he asks

"I guess you're not much after all. Better luck in your next life." He started walking toward the alley exit. Just as he lifted his foot, Sam's voice drifted over. "Are you trying to give me a massage or something?" Feran spun around and saw Sam standing there unharmed, with the flames having disappeared without a trace. Sam stretched lazily. "That fire therapy felt great. Do you have any more?" Feran stared at Sam, who didn't have a scratch on him, completely stunned. "Where's my fire?" Sam shrugged. "Take a wild guess!"

"Captain says get the hell out this minute." Apparently Sam either wasn't listening or was ignoring him because the man turned to his captain and shook his head. Misa could just visualize Sam, doing his job with that supreme confidence he wore like a second skin. Not taking chances but knowing how far he could push himself. Misa inched as close as she could to the scene, snapping pictures one after the other. Then a roar went up from the crowd. People pointed and she looked up. A fireman in full turnout gear had made it out of a third floor window and onto the extension ladder. One arm cradled a baby securely over his shoulder.

Sam has less life in him now than he had when he lifted Cilia up the other time. "I'm asking you, bastards! Where is the fireball you stole?" He chuckled, observing their mood. "If I ask that question again, I promise that one of your heads would go for an answer!" He spat, and the shock on the faces of Sam and Ben turned into grimaces of shock. He smirked, his eyes glinting as he returned to more inane thoughts. "Gosh! Where is the damn ball of flames? And where is that headless, one eyed guy with the knife?" He flung his arm, sneering, towards his soldiers. Who knows what was running through his mind right now, I'd be tempted to knock it out of him, or chop his head off, if I could.

Sam asked, as he tried to act like a macho. “I? You really do not have a clue of who I am. Anyway, I see you didn’t fight in the battle, neither do you read books about me.” He said, with a sinister smile. “I asked, who the hell are you!” Sam shouted in anger and his face was red. “I am Niel, the fire monster.” He revealed, with his eyes, changing color to fire’s color. Sam didn’t look like he was in any mood to play. If it were in other situations, he would laugh out loud, in sarcasm. But this time around, the joke that Niel just played on him now, angered him the more.

Callie exclaimed, “They are going to burn us alive if they don’t knock us down first.” “We are going to be fine,” Sam said, pulling away from us, staring at the tree behind us. His irises swirled with a slight green hint to them. It reminded me of Hunter’s eyes when he was about to start a fire. “What are you about to do?” I asked him. “I’m going to try something a little unorthodox,” Sam replied. “How unorthodox are we talking?” I asked nervously. But he never got the chance to answer me. The third hit knocked the pillar of the island out beneath us. Sam clung tightly to us and held fast to the tree.

"Damn that woman!! She's detestable!" Samantha doesn't linger outside the bathroom. Finally, she has decided to take a quick visit over that burning house as their weeps calling for help don't stop haunting her ears. She just hopes that nothing will go wrong with Morgan when she's alone. Even though she is hesitant to leave him, Samantha teleports over the burning household. By the time she reaches there, she immediately regrets it, as she is sensitive to fire. To be honest, although she doesn't want to admit it, Samantha is afraid of fire.
