Riley takes a moment to go back through Dee's files and notes, she was only 16 when she met Blake Samuels, he was 21, was she too young and nieve to understand what type of man he is? Or was? Sam is Ryo’s personal assistant, whom she got to know when she planned her surprise trip. “You know Sam?” Ryo’s eyes bulged. Sam’s been around him all day long and he had no inkling he knew Ellie. “Yeah. Your secretary, Miyagi, introduced him to me when I said I wanted to surprise you. He and Miyagi have been very helpful.”

He looked at me with a big grin. “Oh hey Harper,” he said cheerfully. I smiled politely but couldn’t place the guy. “Hey… Erm,” I said with an apologetic smile. His grin grew. “It’s okay,” he said “It’s Sam. We were in training together. And we hooked up one or twice.” He winked at me, and Elias growled. Sam, who was now starting to look a little familiar, gave Elias an uncertain look before carefully handing back the papers to an amused Tommy. I placed my hand on Elias’ shoulder and smiled at Sam again.

And there he was, walking hand in hand with a woman. "Sam." Ellie called out, but he didn't turn back. She walked closer to them and called him again. This time, he looked back. "Hey, Ellie. It's you. How are you?" He smiled like he didn't understand what he was doing.

“Best laugh I had in ages.” As the conversation went along, I realized two things about Ellie. Firstly, Ellie is not your stereotypical she-wolf. She’s a strong, intelligent, independent, and capable woman. She doesn’t rely on anyone for anything, not even protection. That scared me. The second thing I learned about Ellie was that she loved Sam. She would do anything for her. I hope she never finds out what happened today. Reagan is right; she sounds like a psycho. At the end of the call. Sam yawned. I wanted to carry her to bed and wrap myself around her until she fell asleep. I wanted to be surrounded by her intoxicating scent and stay with her, not just as she fell asleep. But forever.

"New York. But my mom says we lived other places before that. We move around a lot." Sam nods like he understand. "My dad says we might move too, if we have to. But I hope we don't. I like my house."
