Lucy's pov; At the movie theatre, the lights went out at once and it was as quiet as a grave. No music could be heard anymore. The audience had vanished completely. It was dark and eerie. Everyone knew that a horror film always began with a blackout. That's when it was most likely to end in blood spatter and screams. Tyler held my hands tight to my body as I stared straight ahead. I turned and saw Harmony halfway up the ladder to my bed, half of her body crawling under my mosquito net. Her expression was grotesquely exaggerated, filled with fear as she stared at me. I let out a terrified scream and jumped upright from my bed in shock. The following scream came from Harmony, louder than mine, and then there was a crash as she fell off my bed, landing hard on the floor.

The perspiration was heavy on my forehead and I wiped it away with my palm, frowning at the sluggish movement of my arm and the way the room seemed to fade in and out. The lights flared overhead and I was blinded temporarily, stumbling into someone on my left, kept buoyant only by the proximity of bodies. Feeling a shove from behind, I turned to see who the fuck would dare to push me. The face that greeted me twisted into a molten mass of flesh, pulled tight over bone. White, colourless eyes stared at me. A mouth full of long razor sharp teeth turned upwards in an awful, nightmarish grin.
