The White Wolf Luna

The White Wolf Luna

Kaela whispered, her voice tight, desperate, her eyes searching Fenric’s face as though she could steal courage from him if only he met her gaze. Fenric’s lips parted, but no answer came. His body trembled beneath the weight of the unseen presence, and he could feel the dead pressing closer, the spectral wolves gathered at his back watching in silence as if they, too, waited for him to speak. Syra moved forward, her voice steady despite the chill that had stolen the color from her skin. “It is not the end, Kaela. It is what has always been waiting. The Elders thought they buried it, thought they silenced it with lies and blood, but you cannot silence what was the first song. You cannot kill

ALPHA ACADEMY:MARKED BY FOUR

Malachai braced himself, magic sparking. The First? Still standing. Untouched. Unsmiling. Eyes locked on hers. “You cannot refuse forever.” Lyra wiped the blood from her lip. Her voice was a whisper sharpened to steel. “Watch me.” The First lifted their hand— and the ice cracked beneath every wolf on the battlefield. The war hadn’t ended. It had begun.

Fire and Ice

Fire and Ice

They again kissed and Nick tore her flimsy night gown in pieces together with her panties. When Miranda tried to resist,he kissed her hungrily. He again tried to penetrate her but she struggled a bit while whining like a little puppy. He pinned her down and she couldn't even move her hands. He then went into her, slowly. He set a slow pace and after some minutes, Miranda adapted and relaxed. She started out letting heavy pants as Nick increased his pace and was soon screaming on top of her voice when he started slamming into her like a mad man. Her screams turned into cries. She begged him to stop but he still continue, she started struggling because he was now hurting her but Nick was not o

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

Why rip out only one page? I read the numbers in the corners of the pages on either side, noting that they took page sixty-three. So I turn to the contents page at the start of the book. I skim down the list, until I find it. Song of The Sea Maiden ……………………… p63 The sea maiden. The beach. The dreams. The answers are right in front of me. I just can’t see them yet.

A Symphony of Frost and Flame

A Symphony of Frost and Flame

She could hear her blood pulsating fast by her pounding heart as if it would explode any second now. “I saw the red door shut close earlier. SHOW yourself!” the old man said. Larice stopped after reaching far enough, opened the book, and searched again. Sweat dripping onto the yellowed pages, she scanned faster with the words scrambling in her head. Seconds after and she thought she read a familiar word … so she went back … And then she gasped. “Glacia!” Her eyes widened as she found it on the list of contents. She quickly flipped through the pages until she arrived at the exact place in the exact year.

A slow start, but I understand because the characters and the world needs to be established well. And you did! I'm so so so glad I continued reading since the book really has a very strong middle. So many plot twists! And what I love the most is the magic system! Wew. Great job!
Matilda Surpamel
Now this is an epic dragon story I'm looking for! Unlike other stories, you've given your dragons their own culture, government system, livelihood, religion ... we even got a map! You're such an awesome author. PS. I also loved your book Reclaim the Ice Crown. Great job!

Whispers of Frost and Fire

Whispers of Frost and Fire

I ran. Richie was suspended mid-air—at least, it looked like it. But then I saw it: an invisible ice block. His fingers clutched it desperately. “There’s a staircase,” Albus said. “Made of ice. You can only see it when the moonlight hits just right.” I peered closer. He was right. A stairway of shimmering frost appeared—thin, delicate, magical. But a section was cracked. Below it? A chasm so deep it looked like it could swallow the world.

Replaced by His First Love

And then, he froze. "Mommy..." he murmured. I felt it then—the resonance shifting. For a heartbeat, a translucent silhouette detached itself from the frost—the First Prime, its eyes like voids of white fire. It was a memory waking to the call of the North, a shadow woven from the ash choking bitterness of a king betrayed. The phantom muzzle ghosted near Leo’s ear. "Four pieces..." The whisper didn't come from the air. It manifested directly inside my skull, cold enough to freeze the fluid in my spine.

Mated to My Enemy: Tamed by the Tyrant Prince

Mated to My Enemy: Tamed by the Tyrant Prince

Darius The first thing I felt was the cold. It wasn't the natural cold of a winter night; it was a sterile, leaching frost that seemed to settle in my joints and stay there. I tried to move my arms, but the familiar clink of heavy chains stopped me. I opened my eyes, and the world was a blur of velvet red and flickering candlelight. I was in a high-ceilinged room, my arms stretched wide and chained to two obsidian pillars. My feet barely touched the floor.

The Royal Mate Of The Cursed Lycan King

The Royal Mate Of The Cursed Lycan King

Darius POV Pain was the first thing that dragged me back. A dull, pounding ache sat behind my eyes, spreading slowly like rot, pulsing with every breath I took. I groaned and shifted, my palm scraping against cold stone littered with debris. Dust coated my tongue. The air smelled of broken magic, blood, and humiliation. Humiliation burned the worst. My eyes snapped open. The throne room was in ruins.

Moaning For The Enemy: Her Sister's Betrothed Alpha

Moaning For The Enemy: Her Sister's Betrothed Alpha

The power balance had shifted completely while we were in the snow; the council was already lining their vehicles up along the perimeter, their headlights cutting through the gray fog like predatory eyes. Darius stepped out of the vehicle first, his heavy boots crunching on the gravel with a slow, deliberate finality. He turned back to look at me, his blue eyes dark, the amber rings inside his pupils swirling with a possessive, untamed hunger that demanded absolute submission from the entire territory. "Get in the car, Iris," he said, his voice a low, gravelly vibration that rattled straight through my bones as he opened the door to the secondary black SUV. I looked at the ruins of my home,

The thing everyone forgets is how shockingly grounded that first page feels. You open 'A Game of Thrones' expecting this grand fantasy epic, but instead you get three rangers of the Night's Watch venturing into the haunted forest beyond the Wall. It's cold, quiet, and tense. Will, the point-of-view character, is just trying to do his job, tracking some wildlings, when he finds them dead in a strange, ritualistic pattern. He sees a man in black next to a weirwood, which seems off, but then... the man turns his head. His eyes are blue, shining with cold. That’s the White Walker, though the book just calls him 'the Other'. It’s a masterful bit of quiet horror, setting up the existential threat before we ever see a throne. Gared, the veteran, just bolts in terror, which feels so human. The chapter ends with Will waiting, utterly still in the tree, listening to the silence, and you know nothing good is coming. It’s such a bleak, efficient way to establish that this world has rules, and the supernatural is a brutal, unforgiving part of it. You’re not in a safe fairy tale.

Honestly, I skimmed that bit on my first read. I was impatient for the dragons and the politics in King’s Landing. It wasn't until a re-read after watching the show’s iconic opening that I appreciated the sheer economy of it. Martin lays out the central, looming danger in a handful of pages, then spends thousands showing us a kingdom too busy scheming to look north. The horror isn't in a jump scare; it’s in Will’s slow realization, the unnatural cold, and the chilling final line about the silence. It’s a promise of a threat that the rest of the book, and series, spends its time trying to ignore.
