There are so few views, now that Goodnovel provided me a platform, but I am more than happy to continue this story and perhaps, make it my first completed novel. So now allow me to talk about the novel itself. I have talked to my editor about it and I came to know that my first few chapters are quite odd. The beginning chapter itself barely had any conversation. Well… To be honest, it can’t be helped since I wrote it on my first attempt in writing. I have no background. No experience. I read. I read. I read a ton. I was very smug about my memory since I could remember all sorts of details from hundreds of chapters back.

The First One sat on the beach and stared at the violent waves of the ocean as he deliberated. The killings had stopped but not for long. Officer Muhammad and Maryam must die in order to protect his real identity. The trip to Lagos had been taken for the main purpose of relaxing and approaching matters from a psychological point because where violence fails, logic is born. It had not been easy approaching the men running things at work and asking for some few days off but the greatest weapon in The First One arsenal was the power of persuasion.

I've experienced mental blocks and severe headaches several times while going on with the story, but it was all worth it knowing that finally, One In A Million reached its ending. This is my first ever Science Fiction story, and the second novel I finished this year, 2021. I know you see plot holes in it, the grammatical, and typographical errors, and I promise to strive harder to get rid of those and be better in the future. I know I still have to learn a lot and I am more than willing to learn.

All I had was a vivid imagination, a notebook (or keyboard), and the desire to bring my characters to life. This was my very first full-length novel—my entry into the world of storytelling. I poured my heart into it, creating plots and personalities that may have been messy, overly dramatic, or unrealistic in places, but they were real to me. And despite its flaws, I chose not to rewrite this entirely, because it stands as a reminder of how I began. Of how stories shaped me. You may find imperfections in the pacing, dialogue, character decisions, or plot. You may even find scenes that make you raise your eyebrows. But every line came from a place of growth, curiosity, and love for writing.
