Ruby Fridays
I stare down at the drop before me, contemplating the freedom that endless plunge might offer.
But I know deep in my thumping heart that I want to believe him. I want to step away from the edge. But the images are still there, the screams echoing in my head. In my peripheral vision, I can see Killian staring up at me, searching my face, his expression pleading. And for the briefest of moments, I remember who I used to be.
Right, I'm Ruby Fridays. I'm not like this. I shouldn't be weak like this.
As I turn around to him, reaching down, retracing my steps and straying away from the edge, I bit my lips as I couldn't speak, tears filling my eyes as the memories overwhelmed me once more.
