GIVEN TO THE WRONG ALPHA

GIVEN TO THE WRONG ALPHA

In relief. A weight lifts off the crown. Off me. Brother, the big Tree says. Not to me. To the sapling. The sapling answers, voice like wind: Sister. Draven stares. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” Sky is already crying. “It’s not a weapon. It’s a child.” Rowan, ever practical, lifts his fried laptop. “So… does this mean we have Wi-Fi again?” Everyone laughs, brittle and real. We move the sapling — carefully, with Sky and Creek singing to it — to the courtyard, beside the big Tree but not under it. Equal ground.

My Childhood Friend Broke His Promise

My Childhood Friend Broke His Promise

] “I’ll take you back to your dorm.” He checked his phone. It was long past the university’s curfew at 10 p.m.. “Umm, I don’t think you can go back now. Do you want to stay at my place for the night instead?” [Willow, go for it! He lives alone. His house is huge with an ocean view!] I nodded. Douglas crouched down so I could climb onto his back for a piggyback ride. The moment I leaned against him, I heard him let out a muffled grunt.

Her Christmas Wish

Her Christmas Wish

Jordan teased, placing the order and pretending not to notice how familiar her choice felt. Once everything was set, he dimmed the lights and turned on Elf. Malaya squealed happily as Buddy the Elf appeared on screen, immediately scooting closer into the blankets. Laila settled beside her, tucking a blanket around Malaya’s shoulders, and Jordan sat across from them, close enough to feel included without crowding the moment. One movie turned into another—A Year Without a Santa Claus, then Noelle. By the time Frozen came on, Malaya insisted it was required viewing "because it’s Christmas and it has snow." Jordan found himself humming along, smiling when Malaya belted out the lyrics with total

Trapped in the Storm

Trapped in the Storm

Storm When Winter arrived, I was relieved to see that she had brought Felix with her. Winter and Felix sat with us and joined in for a brief chat with Kat so that we wouldn’t appear suspicious. It wasn’t long before Winter suddenly announced that we had to be leaving, because we had somewhere that we needed to be. Thankful that Winter had come up with an excuse for us to leave, I got up from the table, glad to be away from Asher, and hugged my friend for the very last time. I held onto her tight, and when I let her go, I saw the curious look she gave me. So that she didn’t ask me questions that I wouldn’t be able to answer, I simply said, “I will call you tomorrow and see where you are at, a

Loved this book! Wonderful suspense not knowing which way things were turning at times. Only thing I didn't like at times were the POV chapters you pay for that repeated everything from the previous chapter with a couple added thoughts, but some chapters being below the normal price made up for it.

This is truly one of the greatest stories. No gratuitous sex scenes which is s fantastic thing. You are getting to know the characters and their is a plot. You have even left things open to continue on to another book! I hope this continues!

Harry hollered in excitement, a grin on his handsome face. I unintentionally gritted my teeth at the sight before me. Harry, Quinn's best friend, was embracing my girl from her side and they seemed comfortable to each other. "H-Harry," the sound of my voice was more like a hiss. "I didn't expect you to be here after a long time." "True, it's winter break and we missed Quinn at holidays, especially my adorable girl," he exclaimed, squeezing Khloe towards his body. I nodded, raising my brow. "Well, I can see that."

Girlfriend, Childhood Friend, and a Broken Hand

Girlfriend, Childhood Friend, and a Broken Hand

Only a few machines, powered by their internal batteries, flickered faintly. In the dark, Katie screamed, "Ah! What happened?" "The power's out!" came the nurse's voice. "Ashton! Are you crazy?" Jason's voice was filled with panic and anger. I lay on the ground, gasping for air. The tape over my mouth had loosened from my sweat. I tore it off. Feeling the warm liquid drip from my forehead, I smiled. In the dark, my smile must've looked savage. Crazy? Yes, I was crazy.

The Billionaire’s Deaf Wife

The Billionaire’s Deaf Wife

It was supposed to be the most joyful time of the year. But I was barely holding it together, desperately trying not to cry over a relationship that had never truly existed. A relationship I destroyed single handedly. This time last year, things had been so different. Elias, Isaac, and I had been hunting for the tallest Christmas tree we could find. Isaac had bounced around in excitement, laughing and tugging at our hands, while I smiled quietly, a soft ache of contentment in my chest. Elias had stood beside us like a silent guardian, his presence as grounding as ever.

Soulmates Who Weren’t Meant To Be

Soulmates Who Weren’t Meant To Be

I CLOSED MY eyes and breathed in the cold night breeze. The light blow of the wind messed with my long slightly waved hair. I tucked them behind my ears as I opened my eyes to stare at the night sky and watch as it seemingly gets darker and darker. I played with the sand touching my feet, listening to the sound of waves. I'm gonna miss the beach. Summer is officially over and school's gonna start in 2 days. "Happy birthday, princess." I turned my back when I heard someone greet me. Blake Cooper, my best friend. We've been friends for as long as I can remember. Our parents are also close friends so we grew up together, making it easy for us to be best friends.
