The next shot rings out. Control snapped as always sending heat coursing through my blood. The pain always feels so real. Flames leap across my vision. The ground below me turning to ash. The tree turned to char as the flames dance across the branches. Swallowing it whole. The swing falls and crumbles. Seeing the house begin to burn, the flowers long gone, the fire blazes around me, and my world goes black. Pain is the strongest reminder I was there. I open my eyes and look at my surroundings. Ashe covers the metal in black smudges. Yeah, I’m home. Letting my breathing return to normal I reach out and unlock the handle and push on the iron door.

With a final flourish, she extinguished the flames, leaving only a faint wisp of smoke in their wake. Elara, the newcomer with the Celestial Flames, stepped forward next. Her presence commanded attention, and her eyes burned with a fierce intensity. "My power is the Celestial Flames," she said, her voice ringing with authority. "These flames are imbued with celestial energy, capable of healing and destruction."

Oh god, it's a flaming shark again. Wow, I simply activated the game by clicking the notification that was displayed on the computer. Without a doubt, Flaming Shark is an extremely skilled gamer. His gaming prowess has me so awestruck that I couldn't help but compliment him. I don't know why, but I felt compelled to speak to him, but flaming Shark had disabled his chat feature. He was never worth my time.” The vision faded and I screamed, not out loud, my dry throat couldn’t handle it. But inside, where it counts. Where she wants it to hurt.

The ice hockey complex was chaos. Flames licked up the far side of the rink, black and violent, crawling along the reinforced beams like living things. Fire met ice in a hissing scream, steam billowing upward in blinding clouds. Sprinkler wards were active—but failing. The flames weren’t reacting like normal fire. They were feeding. On magic.

As the fire raged fiercely, I took my husband's hand and tried to rush out of the banquet hall with him. However, Frank Winston shook me off and turned to run toward his assistant, Johanna Scott. As I stood frozen in disbelief, the cabinet beside me collapsed with a rumble and pinned me beneath it. I yelled out for Frank, but he simply picked Johanna up and hurried off without a single glance back at me. Flames and thick smoke enveloped me. I watched helplessly as Frank and Johanna moved further and further away until I eventually lost consciousness.
