Her wings fell back into her body, screaming. Covering my mouth, a sob wrecked through me. I had forgotten she would feel the pain, too. Too worried about watching Mortus breathe his last breaths. The warrior, his eyes solemn with pity, gently gathered her in his arms, picked her up. Her head leaned into his chest, gripping his uniform. “Leave me,” she cried again. Wings sprung forth from his body, shaking his head. His wings hummed in the pattern of a hummingbird and took flight to the palace.

I find myself muttering under my breath, completely dumbstruck by what I am seeing. “I didn’t know they still existed”. Flynn breathes out, but I am too engrossed in Athena’s transformation to respond right now. A few seconds later, her shift seems to have completed. She stretches her… wings? Kendra opted to walk when she got close to other fairies, she didn’t want anyone seeing her wings, she walked fast as her wings swept the ground behind her, she did not care. One look at them had you in a daze. I reluctantly tore my eyes away from them to look at Tiana's wings. It resembled a butterfly's with multicolors, the most prominent being bronze and gold.

I can see the faint outline of what looks like wings spread behind her. Wings of fire that seem to take the shape of a heart… A piercing scream rips through the air as her power increases tenfold and surges into the sky, emanating in waves around her. He looked at her surprised, because he was trying to get them off, but wasn’t able to. He didn’t even think that Evanora was testing her magic like this, making his wings appear instantly and controlling them also.

A moment later I saw glitter coming from her hand as she snapped her fingers and I gasped at what I saw. Over her head, from in between her shoulders the most breathtaking wings formed. They were gold based but with earth green accents. They were so iridescence I was at a loss for words. Right before my eyes they reached full length, nearly the same height as Scar. Her eyes continued to glow as she began to float over so slightly above the earth, rising more each moment until her feet were a foot off the ground. She shook out her wings and then floated back down. Slowly she hummed again and her wings vanished, almost as fast as they appeared. Her eyes returned to their normal golden color an

Many female angels donned large white and ivory wings, while mine held a hint of gold at the tips. I inched forward, only to have a few stares and their walks continued like there wasn’t a care in the world. I let out a sigh. No one was out to get me.
