besides, I can just tell her I didn’t call her last night because I was too tired from our flight back from New York and I knocked the fuck out. I knocked on the door and rang the door bell but no one answered so I tried the door nob and thank the goddess it was open. I walked in and closed the front door behind me. I headed up the stairs to my nymphos room with a fat grin on my face. I cannot wait to ravish her beautiful body. “It’s all mine.” Even though I cannot hear Maddy in her room because I know she had it sound proofed years ago, “I know she’s home.”

“Logistics. Flights got mixed up. It happens. We’ll start with the prep work tomorrow. Until then, you can settle in. I’m in the other bedroom if you need anything.” I nodded, trying to keep my voice steady even as panic started to rise. “Okay. Thanks.” He left me alone for a while. I closed the door to my room, locked it, and immediately tried Damien again still straight to voicemail. I left another message, tears slipping down my cheeks now.

Fatigue and extreme drowsiness overwhelmed me as I realized I lacked sleep. Unbeknownst to me, I quickly dozed off.

Max left the room and slammed the door shut. I rested my head on the bathtub edge. 'Mate?' Cato whined in the back of my mind. 'No Cato. Our mate died. We don’t have a mate anymore. Booking first class, I also purchased a pickup a few hours before the flight. Tomorrow I would go home. I would leave this fantasy.

Once I arrived home, I went straight up to the bedroom. My body still felt a bit tired after the exhausting morning at the clinic. I changed into comfortable clothes, then sat on the edge of the bed. My voice flowed gently, filling the quiet room. "Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars..."

I flicked my fingers but before I did that Mia stopped me. "Why?" She closed the window and drew the curtain again. "It's too dangerous for you, I feel that he is stronger than I know. " I sit up in my bed and my necklace is still sparkling with different colours appearing. I decided to go outside and Mia can't stop me now.
