“Julian… they’re… starting the Harvest again… in the basement. I can’t reach it… from inside. It’s locked.”
“We’re going there,” Julian said, eyes steely. He glanced at the pilot. “Can you get us to that mountain?”
“The jet can fly there, but we can’t land,” the pilot replied. “We’ll have to jump.”
“Then we jump,” Julian said.
They piled into the jet, engines roaring. As the plane lifted off, Julian stared out the window. The thousand clones stood on the beach below, watching them go. Most looked calm now, but hundreds still flickered with that dark purple light.
