Well now, she was going to enter the bus herself and ride on the air 'Cool!'. She thought with a smile. She rushed her breakfast, it was pancakes and milk. "Easy baby. I don’t even know how to start this without getting emotional. Daddy’s Little Pet started in September 2022 as a random story—one I never thought would leave my drafts, let alone receive so much love. And what a journey it’s been. To say I struggled is an understatement.

The morning sun filtered through the large windows of Little Stars Kindergarten, painting the classroom in a warm, golden glow. The smell of crayons and freshly baked snacks filled the air, mingling with the chatter of small children eager to start their day. Aria bounced on her toes, clutching May’s hand tightly. “Mum! I can’t wait! I’m going to make new friends today!” she exclaimed, her excitement bubbling over. May smiled, kneeling to her daughter’s height. “That’s right, Aria. Remember to be kind and share your toys. And… have fun.”

The girl leaned back and unzipped her jacket. She had a cropped tank top underneath her jacket. The girl observed keenly as each leaf came alive, as each bird came awake. And slowly even the skies came alive. That seems to excite her for some reason. The avid calm observant student was gone. A small kid given a cup of ice cream replaced it.

We went to the shop and I went crazy, I picked things for my princess, we don’t know how young she is when in little space but we hoped she would be young, like really young. Alexander settled beside her, book in hand. Emily eased into the rocking chair—feet up, hands on her belly. Alexander’s voice filled the room—deep, warm, doing silly voices for the characters. Lila giggled every time he made Flounder sound nervous. Halfway through, Noah kicked hard—Emily gasped softly. Lila noticed immediately. “Baby okay?” Emily smiled. “Baby’s dancing to Daddy’s story.”

Lara sat on one of the low benches, her posture relaxed, listening to Ram chatter animatedly about a new cartoon she’d seen.
