The chains isn't something she can break from. He dashed into the dungeon to see things for himself. He was shocked and stared at the melted chains. Someone had tampered with the chains and break through. It wasn't unlocked, it was destroyed, melted. She was helped. There was no way someone who has been heavily poisoned be able to escape. Who and how did she get the medicine that melted the chains? The guards and the messenger had all flooded in. They stared at the scene before them. This is unexplainable. "You come along and explain what you know to the alpha" the messenger suggested. He wouldn't be able to explain anything to the alpha on their behalf.

I nodded to Nathan and we both got out of the car slowly, not really sure if we wanted to go in. I stepped over the threshold of the place I called home for the past few months. The once spotless foyer laid out destroyed in front of my eyes. The pristine tile was crumbling under the once majestic chandelier that gravity helped explode on the shining surface. Glass littered the ground that wasn't occupied from other debris. The dark pattern of a wolf and moon was almost indistinguishable by now.

Pulling one of the frame pieces out of the mess, I heaved it with all my strength and shattered the glass. I could get in now, but the snake could also get out. It dropped to the ground and headed for the opening, then shied back, moving slowly and gingerly. The broken glass cut at its scales. It was so desperate for food, it came at me anyway and let the glass slice it to ribbons. That gave me an idea. I picked up a particularly large shard of glass and waited.
