We spend days in the archives, reading everything we can find about the Mother, the Shattering, and the prophecy. The more I learn, the more complex the picture becomes. The Mother wasn't simply a benevolent deity. She was vast, multifaceted, containing contradictions that would destroy a mortal mind. She was creation and destruction, light and shadow, dream and nightmare all at once. When she shattered, those contradictions separated into the fragments we now call gods. Irethiel got wisdom and foresight. Vorrak got desire and violence. Selavane got secrets and forbidden knowledge. And so on. But they're incomplete. Diminished.
