“You keep tryna bargain and I’m gonna shave the whole thing,” he threatened.
“But Daaaad! You have long hair!”
“Yeah, and you had long hair once upon a time, remember?”
Oakley suddenly went quiet. For a five-year-old, he was quite self-aware.
“But Dad, I didn’t know how to use my spoon then.”
“Yeah,” Reigh muttered sarcastically, “you didn’t take care of your hair, kept getting food in it, and till you can eat a meal without getting your shirt covered in food, it’s short hair for you, buddy.”
