He stood, tall and looming again, and then, without ceremony, tossed something at me.
It landed at my paws with a soft thud. It was a plain black dress. Very needed for right now.
“Put that on,” he said. “You’re coming with me.”
And just like that, he turned and walked out.
For a second, I stayed frozen. Then, cautiously, I padded over to the dress. I sniffed it. It didn’t smell like it had been poisoned. I waited another moment, before shifting and putting on the clothes.
I crouched quickly, wrapping the dress around myself before standing fully. It barely reached my knees. There was no underwear. No shoes. I was just wearing the thin fabric.
