44 : "Campout" Campout 44 I wake up, sweaty and breathless. I stared out in great confusion and tried to calm myself down. I look around me and I forgot that I was at the campout. I was just having a bad dream. I was dreaming that I was lost inside a green forest at night, running and screaming for help but in my sleep, I heard voices calling out to me and one from the distinct voices from my dream was from Gage. But I couldn't find my way out of the deep forest so I ended up falling to my knees and cried until it got darker and darker.

Finn, the apparent leader of this abduction, leaned down over her, his eyes gleaming in the light of the fire. “There’s no one to hear you scream, and if you utter a sound, I’ll rattle your jaw.” She nodded her understanding and crawled to an upright position. He nudged her backside with his boot and chuckled when she whirled around in outrage. “There’s a blanket by the fire. Get on it and get some sleep. We leave at first light.”

“Damn it, you are right.” Thomas walked her back to the horrible scene. They answered and asked questions of their own into the early night. By the time they had made it back to Thomas’s house Sara, and Chester happened to be sleeping in the middle of the bed just like they had owned it. They both collapsed into the bed without taking their shoes off, it didn’t matter they both needed back into the dream world running from something or someone. The rift in the astral plain began to groan as their lives shifted it once more.

He pressed on, each step carrying him further into the heart of the mysterious forest. After walking for some time, JB decided to take a momentary rest. Finding a small clearing bathed in dappled sunlight, he settled down, his weariness overwhelming him. Exhaustion washed over him like a tidal wave, and before he could fight it any longer, he succumbed to a deep slumber. Unbeknownst to him, JB's sleep was soon interrupted by a hushed conversation nearby. The voices seemed to dance through the air, faint and barely audible. As he stirred, slowly awakening from his unconscious state, he caught snippets of their discussion.

He said the last part when he saw her walking back into the house "She might go back to bed" That was exactly what she did. After walking around and crying for Dustin to come to her and forgive her, after promising to rescue him she walked back to her room and fell asleep. He sat on the bed for a long time just watching her, waiting for her to have another nightmare or sleepwalking episode but she remained asleep. He went to his room and took his laptop before returning back to sit on her bed. He Googled about sleepwalking and saw that most times it was as a result of stress or depression.

Scarlett walked straight into Kellan's room with both her eyes closed, and her head, slightly sucked. Amazed, Kellan moved to a side, allowing her access into the room. He watched as she walked in, and walked straight to the front of the sofabed, and slept on the floor in front of it. "My goodness. Does...she sleepwalk?" He asked himself, almost laughing. He couldn't remember the last time he was amused. "She sleepwalks. It's obvious." Ragnor laughed from within.

Ruby Atwood says I was sleepwalking last night. I think it was something else. All I remember is waking up in his arms on the forest floor, but my body feels… strange. Like there’s a bit of me missing inside. After I woke up in Atwood’s arms last night, he insisted that we return to the castle in case I start sleepwalking again. I obliged and let him carry me back. He took me straight to my room and didn’t leave my side for the rest of the night, which would normally make me happy, but it only solidified my suspicions that something else happened in the woods.

I talked to Devon about what happened to me last night and he just laughed and told me that he already knew. I asked him how he knew it because I felt shy when he already knew about it before I told him. He said that his friends who saw me having my sleepwalk told him that my mom and Nana Salve are following me. They almost slept because I walk too fast; almost running. I couldn't look at him and he noticed that I couldn't look at him because I am not just shy but also embarrassed. I didn’t know that I would have a sleepwalk and that is totally off for me.

Besides the ever-present growl, she'd developed a nighttime issue, and it was frustrating both of them. The problem was that she had taken to sleeping out of doors. She usually walked out there after she had gone to sleep. Most mornings she woke up in the woods with Kyle snoozing beside her. She'd always been a sleepwalker when she was anxious, just never this bad. Kyle said it was the oddest thing he'd ever seen, but he was a good mate. He always went with her. He said he tried to talk to her when she was like that, but she was persistent about where she wanted to be. If he put her back in bed, she just got up and walked out again.

"How long are you going to stay mad? I'll take my medicine, okay? If it makes you feel better, tie me up so I don't sleepwalk." She acted like treating her sleepwalking was some kind of gift for me. I couldn't help but scoff. She fought me every time I urged her to take her medication. Yet she obeyed Julian's every word. I remembered the first time I met her parents. Julian was there too. I thought nothing of it, assuming they were just close friends. That night, Wendy sleepwalked and found herself standing on the bridge over a river. Julian and I reached out to her as we shouted her name frantically.
