“It’s just beginning.” As the darkness grabbed me, I clung to that promise. We would fight. We would rise. And we would win—no matter the cost. The world outside was steeped in darkness. Night had descended rapidly, devouring any remains of warmth. I stood on the edge of the debris, the cool wind piercing into me like a knife. The dust has begun to settle around what used to be a stronghold of terror and manipulation—a shattered monument to my father’s sick ambition. But as I saw the ruins, I realized this wasn’t the end. It was only the start of something darker.

“If they call us forsaken, then let them see what the forsaken can do when the moon answers our call.” Their howls ripple through the trees — fierce, uncontained. “Tonight, we do not stand for vengeance alone,” I shout above them. “We stand to restore balance. The moon chose us — not for peace, but for reckoning.” The air thickens, heavy with spirit. “So when your claws find their mark, remember you are not striking from hate. You are striking from truth. You are the howl that rose from silence. And when dawn comes, the world will remember what the night dared to hide.”

I rolled down the window and stated, "You and Ryan can rot in the slums forever. That's exactly what you deserve." Kate let out a bloodcurdling scream upon hearing that. Ryan, on the other hand, broke free from the guards and lunged at the car. "Helen…" he croaked. "I miss the child we never had. Please forgive me…" The window rose slowly. "Ryan," I said in a voice like steel. "That child is long gone. Everything is the way it is because of you. You're finally facing judgment." I then turned to face my driver. "Drive," I quietly commanded. "Our sweet daughter, Emily, is tired. We're leaving this disgusting place."

We would repeat the narrative until it felt like truth, real truth Ivy the cursed. Ivy the forsaken. The omega who returns and brings death and trouble Numbers would grow Doubt would spread.
