“She cannot without betraying herself.”
“And the Axis?”
I watch the streams, the branching outcomes, the emergence of new resonance hubs beyond her territory.
“It has crossed a threshold,” I say softly. “It is no longer bound to a single queen.”
Silence stretches.
“That means—”
“Yes,” I confirm. “Which is why Book Four will not be about overthrowing her.”
I smile.
“It will be about outgrowing her.”
Selene POV:
The dream comes one last time before the book closes.
I stand at the center of the Axis, but the space is different now. Wider. No throne. No convergence point. Threads stretch outward in dozens of directions, each glowing with a different intensity, each pulsing to a different rhythm.
