I had just finished my plans to take revenge on Evie, but the moment I got off my plane, I got a call from the director of the orphanage. By the time the call ended, I stood there, frozen. Five black cars were parked outside the orphanage gates when I arrived. Before I could process anything, two men in dark suits escorted me inside. While I was still in a daze, an old man grabbed my hand tightly, his eyes filled with tears. "We've finally found you, my boy! It's been twenty years, but now this old bag of bones can die peacefully!"

I pleaded my best friend with all my efforts “Don’t be a fraidy-cat, Ella. Come on!” She dragged me into the elevator. We have already reached the multiplex, yet my feet are shaking. This means it is certain that my bitch friend gonna torture me till my death does not arrive. Ohh, God! I can’t watch those scary pictures. I still remember last time I saw the scariest movie with her named Conjuring2 and in the result, I couldn’t sleep every damn whole night for the next two weeks, and with that, she promised me she would never force me to watch a horror movie with her ever again but now she herself backed away from her words…

Her knee-length skirt hikes up slightly, and all I can think about is her in an even shorter shirt, bent over my desk with those long strands of blond hair wrapped around my fist. Kira straightens up, reading from the Post-it. "Miss Claude wants to…" "Shred it," I bite out through gritted teeth. My assistant, who is competent most of the time, gawks at me in confusion. "This little piece of paper?" "Are you an idiot?" "She wants your opinion on the venue for your engagement party," Kira delivers the very message I just told her to shred. My day was already hard enough without having to deal with Claude’s whims. "Next time, don’t bother me with spam messages."

She replies as she takes a seat beside me and grabs the bag of cheese balls from my hands. I stare at her with an open mouth and she throws me a kiss which causes me to roll my eyes. I begin to gulp down the content in my coca cola bottle when she speaks. "Tobi, please give me your phone. I snapped some pics on your phone and want to send them to mine. "She says and I hand her the phone to keep her quiet. I don't want any interruption when watching this movie. It's 'Coming To America 2' for heavens sakes!

Shalini tried to imitate Demir's voice. "But my napkin has rabbits on it." "It's okay baby. I will get you one." Demir smiled at Asli showing something on her phone. "Look at the rabbits. We can buy online." Shalini mimicked Demir. Asli licked her lips. "I want to eat them." I mimicked her. Shalini gave me a disgusting look. Then we both laughed gaining our monster seniors' attention. We quickly got back to our work while Asli glared at us.

Maya's Pov I sat on my bed at eight forty-five, car keys in my hand, staring at my reflection in the mirror. My heart pounded so hard I could hear it. In fifteen minutes, I was supposed to meet Derek at the construction site. Alone. Away from the house. Away from Sophie. My phone buzzed. Sophie. "Movie night! We're watching Home Alone. Get down here!" My stomach dropped. How was I supposed to sneak out during movie night?

The judge slammed his gavel. "Order in the court. Defense counsel, you may continue presenting the evidence." It was footage from a home security camera, and it clearly showed Jessica crushing sleeping pills before pouring them into the chicken soup. Upon seeing the video, Jessica turned pale. Her makeup started to run from the sweat pouring down her face.

Instead, an unsettling silence settled over the room. Allen said no more, his suspicions taking root. He instructed his wolves to keep a discreet eye on Wendy. Days later, his team reported back, saying that Wendy ranted to a friend at the forest café. “Ugh, Sasha is so annoying. Even when she’s gone, she’s still ruining everything. Mom and Dad are looking at me differently, and Allen is onto me.” Wendy’s voice, laced with frustration and resentment, was nothing like its usual sweetness. “Don’t worry about her. She’s gone now. At least, she’s not sticking out like a sore thumb. I must say, though. You pulled one mean stunt and nearly got yourself killed,” her friend uttered.

Did someone enter through the window? To test that theory, I call the name that comes to mind, “Freddy? Is that you?” No answer. The thumping sound gets louder. It sounds like someone is walking to the bathroom door, and I open my mouth to shout but fall silent once Freddy stumbles out of it. What is strange is that he doesn’t quite look like himself. He is drenched in a cold sweat, and I freeze when his eyes lift to mine. They are entirely black, while his teeth are elongated.

Jason muttered under his breath but I chose to act like I didn't hear him. Sameer walks to us after parking the car. He looks over at Harsh mumbles "Hi" and Harsh nods at him in acknowledgment. I can see the cold air between them. "So what movie are we going to watch?" Sameer asked breaking the silence. "Conjuring 2" replies Harsh. "What?" Ryan shouted and then laughs looking at my already pale face. I didn't think Harsh will chose a horror movie. I should have warned him. "What's wrong?" Dia asked with knitted eyebrows.
