Winter's Awakening
I dared not linger in the thought; instead, I forced my eyes back to Eva and Noah, hoping to find solace in their light, but all I could see was the deepening void behind them, ready to swallow us whole.
Just as I took a hesitant step forward, a sudden rush of cold air swept past me, carrying with it the faint scent of decay. It sent a jolt of terror through my body, and I stumbled back, my heart racing as I bolted toward them. But before I could process what was happening, dark silhouettes appeared, tendrils of nothingness slithering out to ensnare Eva and Noah, pulling them rapidly into the depths. The horror of it seized me, choking my voice, as my desperation exploded.
