Dear Max. I thought I would start this letter by telling you I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you thought you couldn't trust me enough to tell me you were taking Sarah, I'm sorry you didn't think I'd understand or maybe my problems got the better of our relationship but I loved you. Being your pen pal enemy and then you being a constant ass to me and then being a friend to me falling in love with you was obviously gods way of putting us together and I'm not religious. I'm not even close to it but I always say everything happens for a reason and I think this is my final goodbye letter to you.

Certain. Not like a spark, not like a fire—but like a profound, familiar memory. Like something essential returning home after a very long journey. When he pulled back, he gave me that slow smile—the same one that used to undo me when we were kids. Then you understand I don’t make empty threats.” The car felt too small. I could still remember his mouth on me. I could still remember the way he said my name last night. I hated that my body remembered it too. “This can’t happen again,” I said. “Then say it like you mean it.” “I do mean it.” He watched my mouth when I spoke. “You mean you’re going back to the man who put your best friend in your place??”

I say “I better be awesome because I thought we were best friends.” He is trying to catch his breath from me tickling him “Lilly you are my best friend Lilly you are, please stop tickling me.” So, I stop tickling him all over “I better be your best friend.” “I am really happy that you came and visited me Jayden thank you for being such a great friend.” “You're welcome Lilly I really hope that we can be friends forever and ever.” I don't know forever is a long time I would love to promise you Jayden that I will be there for you forever and ever, but I can't make promises that I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep.

I feel like I've lost my best friend, and I don't know what to do. I know my moving away has made things hard, reducing us to writing letters to keep in touch. I understand that things are different now, but I feel like you've forgotten about me. We used to talk all the time, and now we don’t talk at all. I have not gotten a letter from you, instead I receive the letters I sent you in return. Maybe you’ve decided to no longer be my friend, or perhaps you met someone new to take my place, and are too busy to write. I miss our conversations. I miss just being around you.

Moni said with a touched tone, her hands trembling as she read the letter Lisa had written for her. Lisa took a seat beside Moni, looking at her with affection. Lisa and Moni then hugged each other tightly, feeling the warmth of the friendship they had built over the years. They shared laughter and stories about their beautiful memories

Use a tissue or a cloth or whatever just don't spoil my letter. So bestie, I love you. I love you so much. I never believed in meeting someone and instantly connecting with them on the spot but it happened so naturally with you. I just loved being around you. You made me feel better...
