Leo was given a chair, but he sat on top of the ant colony. He tried to hold back any screams, but as more aunts climbed up to his feet and stung him, he started to yell, "Fuck! So what, it's just an ant bi - fuck!" He tried to wiggle himself free, but in the process, his entire body fell on the colony of aunts. "Aah! They are biting my face!" THIRTY-ONE “No! No! No! No!” screamed the stranger. Danny’s unfocussed eyes bounced from face to face. They were crowded over him. A woman fanned him with a map. Another person offered water from a plastic drink bottle. He noticed his reflection distorted and pale in the curve of their sunglasses as they bent to help. Anxiety twisted, chest tightening. “No,” shouted the stranger again, this time slapping Danny’s hand away. “G-get o-ooooff m-me,” he said. “DON’T.”

In the last nightmare, the absolute worst one, I went to Danny's hospital room. Walked in expecting to see him sleeping peacefully. But instead, his body was covered completely with a white sheet. Like they do to corpses. I screamed his name. Ran to the bed. Pulled back the sheet with shaking hands. His eyes were closed forever. His face was deathly pale. He wasn't breathing. "No!" I screamed. "Danny, no!" I woke up screaming his name. Sat bolt upright in bed, heart racing. I was covered in cold sweat.

I bit my lip hard enough to taste blood. The door creaked, and Phantom strolled in with his trademark calm, though tonight he wasn’t wearing his pristine white suit. Instead, black clung to his frame, sharp as a blade. His smile was venomous. “Well, well,” Phantom drawled, circling Damon like a predator. “How the mighty have fallen. You’re not looking so sharp, Damon.” Damon lifted his head, spitting blood onto the floor. “Go to hell.” Phantom chuckled. “Oh, we’re already there.” His voice dropped, sharp with menace. “Where’s the flash drive?”
