Death & Life

Death & Life

Are you sure I can revive her completely, because I am smelling something pretty rotten," I mumbled sourly and covered my nose. He glared at me and entered the hut. He walked back out and tossed me a small book. "Read that first, while I gather the herbs we'll need," he said softly and headed into the greenery still naked. I opened the tiny book and was surprised by seeing sanskrit. It had been a very long time since I'd read the ancient script but it was coming back to me. I had to focus my light on the being I was wanting to bring back. I also had to offer a promise or gift to the Death God holding the soul, normally the one requesting the revival was the one responsible for payment. So Uk

DEATH REINCARNATE

DEATH REINCARNATE

(ONE CROSS) “PRIDE, WRATH, GLUTTONY, LUST, ENVY, GREED, AND SLOTH.” Knowing more than what other mortals and gifted might think of her at first glance, she whispers the sins as the words vanish in front of her. Turns everything into ashes and goes directly inside the book that somehow loses all its pristine details and colors, and that is left with an utter old and torn cover that somehow is being forgotten by time and forsaken by anyone. It flies right back into her arms, where she hums for seconds and whispers.

A Bride for the Cripple

A Bride for the Cripple

As she cried and begged, her elbow knocked against my emerald bracelet with uncanny precision. The bracelet snapped cleanly in two and clattered to the floor. It was my eighteenth birthday gift from my father. "Veronica!" Furious, I tried to push her off me. The moment my hand brushed against her sleeve, she suddenly clutched her stomach and screamed. "Ah! My stomach hurts… "Catherine, why did you push me? I know you're angry, but this baby is innocent! He's not going to come between you and Lex. Why would you try to hurt him…"

SEDUCING MY BESTFRIEND'S BROTHER

she said. Jade looked at the book. Then at Dorothy. Dorothy waved a hand without looking up. "She'll grow into it," Dorothy said. Jade looked at the title. Looked at me. The title was something about a woman who had to choose between two versions of her life. I stared at it. Clara put it carefully in the bag she carried that contained, as far as anyone could tell, various important rocks and one very old crayon. Jade caught my eye.

Chosen Mates, Stolen Fates

Chosen Mates, Stolen Fates

And just like that, the covers of all four books–Nyllan’s complete works–were suddenly before me. The first book held the cover image of a seedling, a plant in its infancy; at birth. The second cover showed a green, growing bud, finding its potential and bursting through the surface of the earth. The last had been a withering blossom, brown and decaying in death. In tandem, they represented birth, growth, and death. An unassuming, unsophisticated testament of the life cycle.

Under their control

Under their control

The books there were all antiques, expensive books that we had all read, some were part of our upbringing, others were relics, and others were simple history. “Alright. Let’s start planning who to kill first.” Cade said, putting down his cigarette and leaning over, his dark eyes shifting between us. “Do we know who they we?” he asked, opening his laptop. His voice was clipped, like he was trying to maintain his cool around us, even though we all felt the same and could very well understand the need to make things right again.

The Clandestine Saga

The Clandestine Saga

“How much of it is about the portal?” Cassidy asked, jumping right in. Ward carefully opened the book to a point about three-fourths of the way into the volume, which looked to be about three hundred pages long. The sheets were a discolored yellow, and the ink, had clearly changed colors in several places, varying from a dark black to a lighter gray. It was clear the entire tome had been handwritten. Cadence envisioned an ancient Vampire sitting down with squid’s ink or the blood of a freshly beheaded chicken to dip his crooked talon in a well and scratch each letter out on the page.

Crown Stolen, Crown Reclaimed

You can go overseas and land a job at a top company, then come back and take over your family business. "What do I have? My dad drives for a living, and my mom works as a housekeeper. Twice His Wife

Twice His Wife

Thin wires dangled overhead, some long dead, some faintly alive, carrying a low, electric hum. Maris whistled under her breath, though even she kept her voice to the smallest possible sound. “It’s… a graveyard,” she murmured. “But for secrets.” Crane stepped past her, his expression unreadable in the dim glow of the lights that flickered on as the motion sensors caught them. “Not just secrets. Histories. Every scandal they buried. Every deal they erased. Every death they hid.” His voice tightened. “This is where corporations go to make sure the world never remembers.”

The Crimson Grimalkin - Book 5

The Crimson Grimalkin - Book 5

The voices still whisper words I don’t understand. “Up here,” Crimson gestures to the empty space I created, but his finger points upwards to the very top shelf. I look around for a ladder before calling for Mathias. He steps down the long row followed closely by Tawny and Althea who watch on with curious eyes. Mathias lifts me up and my fingers brush the book that sends a jolt of sparks down my hand and up my arm. Removing the book, I find a box hidden behind it. “Here,” I say as I pass books down to Crimson while my giant still holds me up.

Ms. Supernatural
I absolutely love this book, actually, the whole series! I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that this series should not only be published in hardcover but transformed into either an epic movie or miniseries! I would definitely buy DVDs!! You have an amazing imagination and a gift for being an author!
Ra Stew
I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.
