FALLING FOR MR FROST
We walked in and the temperature dropped immediately—not just from the freezers, but something else.
Something that made my skin tingle with recognition.
The place was decorated in cool blues and whites, with fake icicles hanging from the ceiling and frost patterns painted on the walls.
It funnily felt like home.
A girl behind the counter looked up as we approached. She was maybe nineteen, with her hair dyed an icy blue that matched the store’s aesthetic. Her name tag read “Riley.”
“Hey, welcome to Frozen Delights. What can I get you?”
“Actually,” I said, my heart pounding, “I was wondering if you were hiring?”
