Fruit Baskets Kyo Novels & Stories

She awoke when she clearly saw the back of a man in front of her. “Since you’re awake, here. Warm water. No sugar or tea, just warm water.” Ryu turned around and offered a bottle of sake. “There’s no other container. But it’s just water now.” Ryu wouldn’t be foolish enough to give Kyoko sake again. Kyoko accepted it, but her eyes widened in wonder at the delicious-smelling thing hanging over the fire. Something resembling meat was hanging there, devoid of a head. “Rabbit. Unfortunately, I only managed to catch one. It’s not very big, but it’s better than nothing.”

She looked around, her gaze searching for whoever might have dropped it, but she saw no one. Was someone playing a prank on her? Or had Zayne or Alaric dropped it? She walked into the cabin and carefully locked the door with the half-broken bolt. She sat on her bed and pulled the cloth from the basket. A small gasp escaped her lips, and she stared wide-eyed at the content. Fruits. It was full of fruits. Bananas, apples, oranges, and grapes filled the basket to the brim. A small, folded note sat at the top, and she pulled it.

Ava frowned as she ate the last of the fruit basket. It was filled with some of the most delicious fruits: the juiciest grapes, strawberries, and mangoes. It was truly something she would definitely go and buy for herself in the future. Ava wanted to buy one now but she was leaving the country in a few hours and surely could not finish it in that amount of time.

"Jesus!" Krista gasped. "What's cupuaco?" Zach asked. "It's like a blend of banana, pear, passion fruit, pineapple, and chocolate. It's known as the 'the pharmacy in a fruit' because of its many healing properties," Susan explained. "Is your husband not calling the only reason you were worried about him?" Zach asked. "N-no," Susan replied. "David was worried that someone was trying to do something fishy. He told me that when he got back, that we were going to make some changes to the Kumms Family Trust to protect everything."

Harrison's expression remained impassive. Harrison held up his hands in a gesture of peace. "How about this?" he suggested, his voice calm. "You can either have your phone or the basket. But you can't have both." Katherina was speechless. What kind of a choice was that? On the one hand, she needed her phone. But on the other hand, she had been so excited about the basket.

Cai Kang sat at the couch while Fukuna got snacks. "I hope you still like oranges." She smiles as she brought in a tray full of oranges. "I got to go to work now. I'll see you guys later." She says and quickly leaves the apartment. While Cai Kang started peeling the fruit from the tray, Ryosuke got his notes. “That pearl you saw in Akihabara is called a Yeouiju.” Ryosuke told Cai Kang. “A yeouiju? Even in our world, it is quite legendary.” Cai Kang astonishes.

Kruz said reaching for the baskets. "OH NO YOU DON'T!" Kyde said pulling the baskets away from his reach, smacking his hand away. "HEY!" he yelped. "Hey nothing! You get one basket, and we get the other. Everyone else has their snacks and stuff." She told him. "You better share." "Fine." He snorted, nodding his head with a frown.

When it comes to food, that person gives up right away. We proceeded to the row of fruit plants. I went to the very end. I prefer to pick grapes and find them at the far end. Ysabelle chose to pick the apples. The two waiters went to the banana side. I dropped the basket I was carrying on the ground. I looked up at the many grapes hanging on top of me. It is made of bamboo to crawl on grape leaves to bear fruit. Most are purple and others are green but they are also ripe. I slowly touched the grape that was opposite my head. I gently picked it up and carefully placed it in the basket. I do not want to remove the grapes from its stalk. It is better to look if it is together on the same stem.

I teased back in a mock annoyance. He produced a set of keys from his pocket and unlocked the shed. Pushing the door open he pulled a basket from inside and held it in front of me. The sun started piercing through the dense fog, making me shiver from the sudden heat I had been missing. I looked in the basket to see a bunch of seed packets. “So we’ve already started sprouting some vegetables for this season. But I’d love your input on fruits for the next? What’s your favorite fruit?” he asks and then quickly adds, “And please don’t name something that grows on a tree - we’re just not there yet.”

"No, no. It's already too late for that. I got this. I just need to get used to a few things, and I'll be fine." "I can figure it out," she encouraged herself, and as she checked further, her eyes landed on a woven basket tucked near the counter. Blinking, she tilted her head. "How come I never saw this?" "Did Lythari keep this here secretly?" She smiled and curiously reached for it, carrying it over to the sink. "How lovely," she muttered. "Fruits. How I love fruits. Ugh," then she started naming them. "We have blueberries, strawberries, raspberries; not sure what these deep purple ones are called. Mmm… but I think I should know them. What are they called again?"
