Lucia alighted from the helicopter with wind-swept hair and pink cheeks, her eyes scanning the surroundings with eager anticipation. "Looking for something?" Adrian asked, adjusting the sleeves of his shirt as he followed behind her. "My basket," she replied, eyes still darting left and right. "The one with all the fruits." Adrian chuckled and signaled to one of the staff members nearby. Within seconds, her beloved basket of fruits was returned to her arms. She practically lit up, her expression radiant with gratitude and childish delight. "Thank you!"

Xenra My steps quickened as I hurried towards the kitchen to get some fruits for Akira. Filling it with varieties of fruits, I hurried back towards the garden where Akira sat, waiting for my return. I was so engrossed with the thought of performing the task as soon as possible that I didn't notice the approaching figure. Before I could snap out of my head, I collided with someone; the unexpected force sent me off balance. The basket jostled, causing the fruits to fall off the baske in different directions.

CHAPTER 8 ROBERTA’S POV “You’re a little late. That’s unlike you” Brandon said. I giggled childishly at him as I hopped towards where he stood.He stood brightly beside a tree with a big woven basket in his hand. His blonde hair shone brightly under the sun. “Well, I had to be extra careful around the stream”, I answered. He laughed and lent me his hand to help me step down from the rock I climbed. “I brought fresh fruits for our picnic”, he said, holding up the basket. I smiled and walked beside him.

“You’re such a stick in the mud. But whatever, suit yourself. I’m going tomorrow after work to check it out myself.” I nodded. “Yeah, you do that.” I sat at the kitchen table eating my pasta watching as he wiggled excitedly in his seat. “I can’t wait. I wonder if they fit their stereotype. Pale skin, formal clothing, knife-sharp fingernails, pearly white fangs, and super speed. Maybe I can find myself a vampire boyfriend. That would be so cool!” I chuckled at his excitement. “Go for it. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Feel free to use the guest room. You know where everything is.”

I watch as she drifts through the ground foyer with a basket of fruits moving as if she is trying hard not to disturb the air around her. My jaw locks as I curse myself for the fascination my mind is harboring about her. Something I really didn’t want to admit but I still can’t help myself from watching. Though she didn’t see me— not that it will make any difference anyway. Her hair is tied up today, a few stubborn strands sleeping loose against her cheek as she dips her hand in her basket, bringing out one fruit and handing it to one of the cooks. An Omega. I scoff, getting tired of talking to her about things like this.

He leans in, pecking my lips. We fall into a comfortable silence, taking a sip of our drinks, “Are you hungry?” I nod, ready for food after our long walk to get here, “Fruit or sandwiches?” I thought on it for a moment, deciding on fruit. Kyson took the tubs of fruit from the basket, setting them in front of us, and we took one each. I dig straight into the strawberries, groaning the second I take the first bite. They are so sweet and juicy, I couldn’t help myself.

"Fine! If that's what it is to you. But that...offer ends now, male. This thing between us cannot work if you're not mature enough to own up to your feelings." She stepped away from him, gathering the fruits she had plucked. She hefted her basket to her side and shot him a scalding look before taking off to proceed with her fruit hunting. Alfos stood still, watching her depart as his mind warred. That female's just a kid. A kid he helped to sate her craving. He couldn't and shouldn't be with her at all. TBC.

I told him while he also started putting the fruits from the ground. “ I'm sorry. I just want to help, okay?” I rolled my eyes. “ I told you that I don't need your help!” I stood up after we were done putting all the fruits in the basket, and I turned around to leave him, but he suddenly hugged me from my back. What is he doing? I tried to remove his hands that wrapped around my waist, but he didn't want to let go of me. I suddenly felt his breath on my neck, which gave me shivers. What is he doing?
