I scrunched up my face, rage biting through me at the dead humor. “You think this is funny?" I scoffed. Jasper stopped laughing and waved his hand at me. “You're funny," he muttered and I frowned. “Funny?" I huffed, shaking my head in disbelief and rage. “This is not close to being funny!" I spat as I stomped my foot on the ground. I wished I could slap them across their faces and restore some sense back into their minds but I had to save myself first from the fear that was eating deep into me.

Lucian's gaze, fixed on him at that moment, seemed to intensify his frustration. After the whole 'she is a pawn in my game' declaration, He found himself resenting Lucian's apparent foolishness. Lucian's earlier arrogance infuriated him. Irritated, He couldn't contain his frustration any longer. "I think I need to create a tablet for stupidity," he spat out; his words laced with exasperation, the volume enough for both Lucian and I to hear him. Laughing, Of course he would say something. "Hey, Jake! It's good to see you too," I greeted him, my voice warm and cheerful.

The minute video hesitated, and then, to my relief, did not come forth-there it sat, tauntingly and rather fraudulently, in silence. I slumped back into the chair with my unresolved body language. Stellina's cheeks flushed with a mixture of self-consciousness and frustration at the predicament she found herself in.
