Novel & Cerita Fun Watching

"You're being really funny with me." "Erm." 'Think fast, Jess.' "I'm just having my monthly," she announced, giving an apologetic smile. "Gross," he muttered, releasing his grasp on her shirt. Jess couldn't help but smile as she made her way to her room. Like most nights, she did her homework, putting in the smallest amount of effort required to get it finished before binge-watching her latest favourite series on Netflix. She fell asleep watching the show, dreaming about sharp-toothed werewolves and seductive vampires. The 'are you still watching?' message flashed on her screen. Getting up, she searched for the controller and selected 'no' before turning off the television.

The last entry reads: "Shows unusual understanding of institutional mechanics for a sixteen-year-old outer disciple. Watch." The System finds the word WATCH appearing in multiple people's notes about Host to be statistically significant. The System is watching too. --- I close the notification. Look at the archive text in front of me. Watch. Elder Qian. Elder Mao. The Twelve Thrones' monitoring formations, probably. The System itself. Everyone watching.

“Please tell me you are about to hack into their soul and find out if it is a bitter ex, a jealous groupie, or someone who watches way too many crime documentaries.” “That person’s really playing hide and seek with me,” Dawn mutters, eyes narrowing at the screen. “And it’s creepy how they seem to know me too... like they’re familiar with my patterns, the way I track, the way I think.” I chew the inside of my cheek. “You mean like... they’re watching me?Us?”

she whispered. “I protect,” he replied softly, almost to himself. She didn’t question it. She just smiled, brushing a petal from her hair. And then the watcher moved. A shadow slipped closer between the trees, silent, precise. The presence was deliberate, observing without revealing itself. Adrian’s eyes flicked to it, subtle, cautious. Protective instincts kicking in again. “Who’s there?” She glanced toward the movement but didn’t seem alarmed. “They’re… watching. But not harming. Not yet.”

As we exchanged rings, I held Yasmin Walsh's hand, and my gaze fell on her wrist. An old silver watch hung there, its dial yellowed with age, its hands forever frozen at 3:07. "Take off the watch," I said. Her smile stiffened. Instinctively, she pulled her hand back. "Jayden Burke, stop it. Everyone is watching." I didn't move. I repeated myself softly, but loud enough for the entire hall to hear, "Take off the watch."

The smell of disinfectant filled the hospital corridors. Hedgar Stane’s parents wept in front of the burn unit’s ICU. But I felt as if there was a filter over my ears. The noise around me was hard to make out. My mother took my hand. “Henry, go keep Hedgar’s parents company. They need you.” I snapped out of my reverie and shook my dizzy head. At that moment, the attending physician walked out and solemnly told Hedgar’s parents to be prepared.

On New Year's Eve, she stayed in Marcus's room to keep him company and did not come home all night. At his son's parent-teacher meeting, she and Marcus attended together like a loving couple. Even when she traveled for work, she forgot to buy me a gift but remembered Marcus's measurements and bought him a suit. Whenever I questioned her even slightly, she accused me of having a dirty mind and insisted she was only taking normal care of him. A few days ago, I saw the purchase record for that fifty-two-thousand-dollar watch. I thought she had finally thought of me. Instead, reality slapped me hard across the face.

I took the remote from the coffee table and I patted the seat next to me. “Let’s watch a movie, babe.” I told her. She rolled her eyes, took off her apron and she sat down next to me. She rested her head on my shoulder and I picked a romcom for us to watch. I knew she’d be interested in watching a romcom so I just picked the first recommended movie under that category. We spent the rest of the day just watching movies and talking. We haven’t really done this kind of date before. It was always so formal between us. It’s nice that we could just stay at home and spend time together.

“Walang matutulog.” “Kaya siguro ang pangit mo na,” balik niya. “One game na para matapos na.” Actually, playing is a better way of distracting herself rather than watching. When playing, her mind’s just focused on it as she’s physically engaged in the game, but when she’s watching, her mind can drift off to so many places because she’s just there watching. Mas mabuti na ang ganito.
