It was loud and unrestrained, the kind of laugh you couldn’t stop even if you tried. “Are you serious right now?” I managed between bursts of laughter. “As much as I’d love to indulge your little fantasy—or should I say kink—you couldn’t be more wrong.” I wiped at the corner of my eye, still grinning. “Honestly, Nathaniel, you could write a bestselling novel with the nonsense you just spewed. Readers would eat it up because you’re that relatable in your delusions.”

As we perused the menu, placing our orders with the attentive waitress, Victor's playful nature began to shine through our conversation. He regaled me with amusing anecdotes, his quick wit and infectious laughter filling the air. I couldn't help but be drawn into his joyous energy, each of his funny remarks eliciting genuine laughter from me. "You know," Victor chuckled, leaning in slightly, "I once tried to cook a gourmet meal and ended up burning toast. It was quite a masterpiece of culinary disaster."

Zac said in a funny way but it seemed like Caroline didn’t enjoy the joke at all. Caroline glared at Zac with hatred. “Please don’t mind him” I said to end the awkwardness. She ignored me and moved forward towards the kitchen. “Well. Here is the spot where I usually find my daughters spoiling the food most of the times” my father giggled to make the environment funny. “Come on. Not all the times dad.” Anna laughed. The kitchen was an open galley style with top quality appliances, storage galore, all the cooking utensils you would find at home, and fabulous views.

That had ended with me locked in a basement by some pervert who saw the flyer. Three days. Three nights. I died there. Not this time.

Oscar laughed. I turned to her and gave her the 'fuck you' look. "That's really interesting..." Ms Louw said looking at me, "so back to your assignments.. others were amazing, others could use with some help and others are just... like... wooooow, guys.. really? So you can't narrate a story..?"

I start with a small giggle on my face. “I spent my day work all day, mmm at my family company” I laugh. “W-what! That was so boring” Z laughs. “Huh, and I got drunk in the middle of the night, in my bedroom floor, and woke up on couch all the time” I end. Both of us laughing because of the story, our faces are getting red because of the laugh. “Oh, my goodness! That’s insane!” Z tried to stop her laughs and leave a little giggle on her face. “Yeah, my life was insane!” I laugh softly.

There was one solitary, big book on a low table between them. "The title of the tale is The Binding of Autumn," he began, his voice an entrancing whisper just in harmony with the shriek of the fire. “It's the tale of a harvest god who offers a mortal woman a choice: one night of absolute freedom for one year of unimaginable riches for her people." He didn't move as his eyes met hers. "The consent is the matter at hand. It must be freely bestowed, not coerced, and whispered three times into the skin of his throat." “Do you have any idea what sort of story you're going to be reading me tonight?”

It's pathetic! He dropped that bomb and strutted off before I could fire back. I could hardly believe my ears that such boneheaded words came from the man I have loved for years. His so-called 'cozy winter promos' were just a table with free cups of cheap black coffee and some giveaway gloves out front. The coffee often went cold, untouched, and those gloves ended up in the street bin. However, Seth, of course, thought they were pure gold. Somehow, I was the one cashing in on Lily's ideas!

And another, Kaydrian Blackstone, chimed in, “Yeah. I’ll definitely come to school and pay rapt attention every day if your unclad body were the subject to be discussed. One of the girls stopped pretending to cover her eyes. “Yeah, I second that. Because that’s a delicious subject,” she gulped, her heated gaze on him. “Imagine him working at a dying restaurant, wearing nothing but a red hellakitty apron.” “Damn. Such a rich imagination. His ass will surely bring in the bills. And the ladies,” “Add the men as well. Coz I don’t mind eating trashy food, as long as my eyes are well-fed by Sean.”
