I asked, suspiciously and Wolf grinned even bigger. "You all took off so fast, I needed to give Foxy something so she could buy her dress." Wolf said and he turned to Foxy and pulled out his wallet. "I owe you some money and figured that you would need it to buy your dress." he said softly as Hound and Jackal distracted the others in conversation. I wasn't going for it though and I moved closer to Foxy. She looked confused. "You don't owe me any money." she responded and he shook his head and handed her a card.

She was somewhere around seven or eight, completely absorbed in whatever she was drawing, her tongue pressed to the corner of her mouth in concentration. I lowered myself carefully into a chair near her, mindful of my ribs, and looked at the paper. The drawing was full. Not in a crowded way, in a deliberate way, like she had a clear picture in her head and was working her way across the page with intention. There was a dragon in the top left, red and blocky with impressive teeth. Below it, a woman in a red cape with a pointed hat on a flying broom, carefully coloured with a orange crayon. To the right of that, something with fangs and a dark cape that I was fairly certain was meant to be a v

The Omega opened his large pad of paper and flipped several pages before proudly presenting his newest drawing. Luke gasped. His hands slowly reached out and took the drawing. His eyes raked over the very detailed drawing of his wolf. It looked like a professional artist had drawn it. It almost looked like a real picture. “Joey, this is, this is amazing! It's Beautiful! You're so talented,” The Omega praised the other Omega, and Joey blushed. Joey took the pad full of his drawings and carefully pulled out the drawing of Luke's wolf. His hand moved as he signed “for you” and handed it to Luke.

“It’s ticklish, Miss Cassey.” When I looked at the palms of the other children, I saw drawings of different kinds of insects, animals, and plants. There was a spider, a dragonfly, butterfly, elephant, dog, cat, tulips, and roses. She was good with her hands. All of them looked really nice. My daughter would love something like that as well. “There, it’s done. Do you like it?” I heard her say. My heart leaped. Even that voice was achingly familiar.

Coco hesitated, wondering if she should just leave. Then, she grabbed her bag and took out a notepad and a pen. Coco drew a cartoon character on the paper and handed it to Lucas. "Here, this is for you. I hope you'll feel better." Lucas lowered his gaze to the paper she had handed to him. Coco had drawn a simple cartoon character of him. With a few simple strokes, she had captured his facial features precisely. The eyes bore a significant resemblance to his eyes, allowing others to recognize him in the drawing.

Teddy held up his paper with a sketch of a purple dinosaur with a horn on its head. Sophie gasped. "A unicorn dinosaur? Teddy, you've changed the world." Yeah, I can't. I love kids but there's only so much I can do. Lily frustrates the hell out of me every single day but she knows just how much fun I can take. She doesn't even sketch. Lily giggled and poked the Unicorn dinosaur sketch, earning a laugh from said Teddy. Another kid with a missing front tooth shoved a drawing into Lily's hands. "This is for you. It's a house, with a cat. Do you like cats?"

In the end, I think they turned out great. Not that I knew what the others were for but there was also a frog on a log, a humming bird and a fat Cardinal. The very last one I was drawing was for Arlo. He got those picture for us, or more for me. It was of a wolf. It’s head was downward with his teeth showing. The hair was standing straight up with a human skull under it’s paw. There wasn’t any flesh on it, just the bones. Originally, I was going to make it a dead rabbit or something but this seemed appropriate. Keeping this one black and white, kept some of the mystery alive. “Charlotte??” Waylon yelled as he was coming in.

“Yes, Aunt Fiona, and of course me, oh, and Uncle Carlos.” “I see, you did good, baby.” I looked at her drawings; of course they were children's drawings, so good enough for her age, especially when she got the important parts—that fingers are supposed to be ten, five on each hand, two eyes, ears, and one nose. “I can’t believe you got Aunt Fiona’s freckles.” “Oh yes, she looks just like her, right, Mommy?” “Right, you did good, baby. I'm sure your teacher will give you a sticker.”

The Ecostanian-style palace decoration looked luxurious and grand. Flora opened the small bag on her back and took out a picture book. “Mommy look, this is the family portrait I draw. This is Mommy, this is Daddy, and this is Jason, this is Jerry, and this is me.” There were five cartoon-like characters in the drawing. Although the drawing look was crooked and very abstract, each character was grinning from ear to ear. When I saw it, I smiled until my eyes turned red, “Oh! Baby, you are so awesome. You draw it so well.”

"-but we will appreciate your drawing more if you explain what you drew in detail just like Finn did." Considerably more cheerful, Freya stepped forward. "That is me-" Freya said. She pointed to the girl in the picture. "-and around me are lots of animals. Our teacher taught us about animals last week, so I drew them. Over here is a giraffe, a cat, a lion and a bear. It looks like Billy, my teddy bear..." Freya continued naming the other animals she had drawn. By the time she was done, Elliot was looking at her proudly.
