Gabriel's Inferno In Order Movies Novels & Stories

Chapter 7 Harper The coffee in my hand had gone cold somewhere between Drake explaining that Dominic was in a medically induced coma and him telling me that the Council was already drafting language to classify Marcus's attack as "evidence of demonic contamination spreading through Midnight Moon's leadership structure." I hadn't drunk it since.

His questions were followed by a snort. Rolling his eyes, Gabriel shook his head in exasperation. “No! Damn it, listen. There is no spell or any enchantment. That thing right there?” Gabriel pointed to the growing sea of flames which was now occupying one-third of the meadow as flames started to crawl to the looming sequoia trees of the Great Forest at the back of the Halfling Maleficent. He continued. “That is you Michael the Loyal destroying the Great Forest and the sacred meadow of the Ambivalent world. That is you making an enemy out of the entire clans of the Ambivalent world along with the Trilateral Court. So snap out of it and call out the flames before we die here.” Gabriel gritted

The air crackled with tension as the machine sputtered and died, its lights flickering out like the last gasps of a dying beast. Gabriel’s enforcers rushed forward, but Nathanial and Liam met them head-on, their fierce determination a stark contrast to the chaos around us. I darted through the fray, my eyes locked on Gabriel Blackwood. He stood at the center of the stage, his expression a mix of fury and frustration. His plan had been thwarted, but the danger was far from over. I knew we had only bought ourselves a brief respite, and Gabriel was more dangerous now than ever before.

*** PROLOGUE GABRIELLE POV I crashed onto the floor, gasping in pain, my fingers clawing at the wet floor as the rain poured in torrents around me. I spat out blood, my insides quaking with every little move I made. I wanted to give up but I couldn't stay down. A Genovese never stayed down, even if I was tired, staying down meant defeat. Defeat meant death. And I couldn't die now, not after everything. Not after all the sacrifices I'd made to get this far.

The sky’s reddish-orange color slowly faded out, and rain started to fall. Gabriella turned back to Evelyn; she pushed more and more white, divine energy into Evelyn's body until her own body was out of it, and Solis’s soul was destroyed instantly. Gabriella, now empty of divine energy, dropped to the ground and landed like a heavy rock, cracking the ground greatly with the weight of her fall. She dropped Evelyn’s body on the ground, turned around, and walked away silently as the intensity of the rain increased. The downpour quenched the flames that had spread all around the city, and dark gray smoke rose slowly from the buildings.

Instinctively, I pulled away. Gabriel stumbled backward. His shoulder knocked against the wooden cabinet near the entrance. The impact jolted the fireplace. Several burning logs tumbled out of the hearth. Everything happened in an instant. Gabriel reacted purely on instinct. He lunged forward and pulled Amelia into his arms, shielding her body with his own. The burning embers scattered across his back. Amelia screamed hysterically. “Abigail Ashford! You’re evil! A green-haired devil!” “Look at what you’ve done to Gabriel!”

“Gabriel? Answer me? How close am I?” Gabriel’s voice came through then, loud and clear. “Logan. Shift. NOW!” Logan knew why Gabriel gave that order. Mercy had gone under.

Flames burst through broken walls while metal support beams snapped apart around them. Ava fell through darkness. Weightless. Helpless. Screaming. Hands reached for her through the smoke. Someone caught her wrist. For one desperate second she thought it was Luca Then she saw black veins beneath pale skin. Gabriel. Gabriel Cross held onto her tightly while chunks of burning concrete crashed around them. His grip never slipped. Never shook. Even falling through chaos He looked calm. “Ava!” Luca’s voice echoed somewhere above her. Then disappeared beneath the roar of collapsing steel.

However, Gio seemed unaffected by his pleas and continued his actions without remorse. Gabriel’s cries fell on deaf ears as Gio showed no signs of stopping until blood was drawn. He could do nothing but cry and beg for mercy, but Gio’s actions left him feeling degraded and helpless. Despite receiving multiple injections, Gabriel was unable to fight back, his vision blurring as he caught a glimpse of Trixie’s sinister grin, knowing that no help would come his way. He raised his hand and weakly pointed at Trixie. “H-he’s c-coming…” he whispered, noticing the anger in Trixie’s eyes as she approached him.

A blood-curdling scream came from the furnace. That was how I'd died in my past life, and I couldn't help feeling vindicated as I watched Summer suffer the same fate. The fire ate her up. She'd left blood all over the furnace before her death because she'd tried to claw her way out. Terence stood there, looking like he was admiring a painting. Once Summer was incinerated, he turned to look at Jean. "It's your turn now."
